Tasmanian Liveable Communities

Tasmanian Liveable Communities This page has been set up to inform Tasmanian governments, organisations and communities about Liveable Communities

Liveable Communities support people of all ages, backgrounds and circumstances to safely and respectfully participate in community life the way they want. The fact is that Liveable Communities benefit everyone! Communities that are healthy, safe, supportive, inclusive and accessible are good for businesses, community services, healthcare services, government and every person in that community. The Tasmanian Liveable Communities Facebook has been developed by COTA Tasmania to raise awareness and share ideas about Liveable Communities. If you have a program, event, idea, article or experience of a Liveable Community, we would love to hear about it so we can share it with everyone else. Together, we can create a Tasmania where every person can live the best life they can!

Are you getting out in the Autumn sun?
Sunshine helps your body make vitamin D. During Autumn, the sun is shining but harmful UV levels are lower. It is a good time to boost your vitamin D levels.
We all need vitamin D for healthy bones and muscles and overall good health. Plus, getting enough vitamin D will help prevent osteoporosis and rickets.
Make some time to get outside during the day, but don’t forget sunscreen if you are outside for a while even in your own backyard!
