🎗️ Today is Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea ☕🍰

Did you know that 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85? Cancer affects individuals, families, and communities across the country every single day.

The Biggest Morning Tea is an annual fundraising event hosted by the Cancer Council, bringing people together to raise money for life-saving cancer research, prevention programs, and support services for those affected.

By simply sharing a cuppa and donating, Australians everywhere are helping fund:

- World-class research into prevention, diagnosis and treatment

- Emotional and practical support for individuals and their families

- Public education on reducing cancer risk

Every dollar raised helps bring us closer to a cancer-free future. 💛

From Jedi Masters who lead with wisdom, to rebels who fight with heart, the Star Wars universe reminds us that heroes come in all forms—and so do real-life legends in our community.

Let’s honour the force within everyone—regardless of ability—by advocating for , , and across all galaxies.

Because when we lift each other up, we all rise like the Millennium Falcon. 🚀

Meet Jane: A Testament to Quality Care. At Support My Way, we believe in showcasing the real, positive impact we have on our clients' lives. Too often, disability service providers advertise their services without showing the quality of care they provide. Today, we want to share Jane's story as a testament to the exceptional care we offer, Jane has consented to us sharing her story.

Jane is one of our cherished residents living in our vibrant Modbury Cluster Site. She shares this beautiful community with four others, where friendships blossom, and everyone feels connected. Jane loves her cats, Jack and Tiger Lily, and she’s known for her jovial nature and loves to have a chat! Jane never forgets a birthday and makes sure to sing a loud and cheerful "Happy Birthday" to each resident and support team member on their special day.

Before joining Support My Way, Jane experienced neglect with her previous provider, living in squalor like conditions with unmet support needs. Her transition to our care has been transformative. Jane now enjoys living in her own unit and the ability to utilise her funded shared SIL support model, allowing her to receive the care she needs while maintaining her independence. She takes great pride in her home, ensuring everything is kept just the way she likes it. Our Modbury Cluster Site is more than just a place to live; it’s a thriving community where clients are matched correctly. If any support coordinators are interested in visiting our site, meeting our residents, and seeing firsthand what a successful cluster site looks like, please reach out to us. We’d be delighted to show you the positive impact quality care can make.

Autism Awareness Month is a time dedicated to understanding and recognising the diverse experiences of individuals with autism. It's an opportunity for all of us to come together to celebrate differences, promote acceptance, and push for inclusivity in every aspect of society. Throughout this month, we highlight both the challenges and the remarkable contributions of those on the autism spectrum, aiming to build a world where everyone has the chance to excel. Join us in this important cause, as we work towards building a society that embraces and supports all its members.
