This is my kind of therapy.

Not the kind where you sit and talk everything into circles.

The kind where you come back into your body. Where you form new habits, memories and relationships.

In a world that can feel overwhelming, overstimulating, and disconnected,
this is a place where people learn to feel steady again.

Women building strength and confidence in their bodies.
Kids learning focus, discipline, and how to move with awareness.
Men training with control, respect, and responsibility.

Everyone learning something real.
About themselves. About presence. About boundaries.

No ego. No performance. No noise.

Just breath. Movement. and a place to reset.

This is what I come back to.

“ I don’t think group classes will be good for my child because they get overwhelmed.”

We hear this a lot, especially from parents of kids who are sensitive in busy environments.

And it makes sense. You want to protect them from shutting down or feeling like they don’t fit.

But avoiding group spaces doesn’t always solve the problem.

Martial arts isn’t about throwing kids into chaos and hoping for the best. It’s about giving them a place where they can move, engage, and learn alongside other kids and slowly build comfort in that environment over time.

Some kids take to it immediately. Others take time. Both are normal.

The goal isn’t to avoid challenge, it’s to help them grow through it in a way that feels safe and supported.

If you’re unsure where your child fits, come and chat to us before or after class.

We’ll help you find the right entry point…not just the easiest one, but the one that actually supports their confidence long-term.

New women’s class now running Thursday 9:30am in addition to our Mondays at 5:15pm.

1 in 3 women will experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime.

Most of it isn’t random. It’s close. It’s familiar.

This isn’t about fear.
It’s about knowing what to do if something isn’t right.

If you’re a mum and your time is limited, this hour is yours.

Respecting the process 📚✍🏾 is the hardest part. If you respect the process, incredible things will happen ✨🙏🏾

📚✍🏾 Respect the Process

“Respect the process… because the process is where the transformation lives.

In a world that wants everything fast, Jiu-Jitsu teaches us something different. It teaches patience. It teaches consistency. It teaches us that the small, unseen efforts—showing up tired, tying your belt again, failing and trying again—those are the moments that build something powerful inside us.

There is no shortcut on the mat. No skipping steps. Every repetition, every struggle, every lesson is shaping who we become.

At Gentle Arts, we don’t chase quick results… we build strong foundations.
Because when you respect the process, confidence grows naturally. Discipline becomes part of your identity. And one day, without even realizing it… you become the person you once looked up to.

Trust it. Stay consistent. Keep showing up.

Amazing things will happen.” ✨🥋

You don’t need to “get in shape” first.
You don’t need to be serious.
You don’t even need to know what you’re doing.

Half the time we’re laughing mid-drill wondering how we ended up here…and the other half you’re realising your body is way more capable than you thought.

This isn’t about becoming aggressive.

It’s about becoming comfortable in your body again.

Strong. Playful. Present.

For a lot of mums, this is the only hour of the week that’s just theirs.
No pressure to perform.
No need to have it all together.

Just movement, connection, and a little bit of “oh damn… I did that.”

You don’t have to take yourself so seriously to learn something powerful.

You just have to start.

Comment “READY” or DM me “TRY” and I’ll help you book your first class.

This isn’t about being aggressive.
Or strong.
This is two women learning…
how to handle pressure without panicking…

You don’t need to be ready.
You just need to start.

Most women don’t start because they think they’ll feel:
awkward
weak
behind

Truth is that you will.

But that’s the point.

This is where you learn how to:
✅ stay calm under pressure
✅ trust your body
✅ stop freezing when things get hard

No ego. No expectation. Just learning.

If you’ve been thinking about starting… this is your sign.

Most people think a teacher is someone who explains things well.

The Bhagavad Gita defines it differently.

In the Gita, Krishna teaches Arjuna not by comforting him, but by guiding him into clarity and right action.

A teacher removes confusion and brings you back to your responsibility. They don’t just give information, they give direction. They help you act without being controlled by outcomes, and train your mind to stay steady when things feel uncertain or uncomfortable.

There’s a standard to it.

A real teacher has lived what they teach, holds clarity, and isn’t afraid to tell the truth when it matters. The role isn’t to keep you comfortable, it’s to help you see clearly and act properly.

That’s what carries across everything on the mat, in business, in life.

Most parents think the answer is to make life easier for their kids.

Less stress.
Less discomfort.
Less challenge.

But that’s not what builds a calm, confident human.

Confidence isn’t taught.
It’s built through experience.

Jiu-Jitsu gives kids something most environments don’t:
✔ safe pressure
✔ real challenge
✔ a way to regulate themselves inside discomfort

This is how anxiety actually shifts.
Not by avoiding life… but by learning how to handle it.

If your child struggles with confidence, anxiety, or overwhelm, this is the work.
