Hoppers Physio has been providing expert Physiotherapy management and advice to the Wyndham community since 1991. Patients have the security of knowing they are dealing with a reputable and experienced practice, and this has led to continued growth in the practice. The facilities have been extended to increase the number of treatment rooms, as well as provide a rehabilitation gym encompassing pilates equipment and a vast array of classes to suit each individual. Hoppers Physio has fulfilled the criteria to become an Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Accredited Practice. This is an ongoing process, which ensures that we maintain the high level of service provided to our patients. Each Physiotherapist is involved in continuing education, ensuring that our treatment skills and paramedical knowledge are maintained at the highest standard and are continually being updated.

🚨New Physio Announcement🚨

Meet Rafa 👋

Rafa is a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) graduate from La Trobe University, following a Bachelor of Science majoring in Physiology at the University of Melbourne — where her passion for the human body and health sciences began.

She has gained diverse clinical experience across hospitals, private practice and workplace settings, with a strong interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Rafa has also developed hands-on experience managing acute musculoskeletal injuries through work with local soccer clubs and in occupational health.

Outside the clinic, you’ll find Rafa at the gym, travelling, or keeping up with her nieces and nephews. Her active lifestyle helps her understand the real demands of sport and everyday life, driving her passion to help patients return to what they love.

Rafa is available for bookings as of Monday February 2nd🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

We are seeking sports trainers to help us fill a role with some of our local football / soccer clubs.

This would suit an allied health/exercise student and assist them in gaining paid experience within a sporting environment. Mentoring from clinic physiotherapists is available.

Sports Trainer certificate and first aid certification is required.

Coverage would include one training night per week and game days (usually Saturdays)

Movement Monday: Arabesque 🧘🏼‍♀️

Todays movement monday is a combination of balance and strength. Our physio Georgia wants to show of her skills from ballet and has some recommendations for people wanting to up their skills.

The arabesque or aeroplane movement demonstrates good hip, knee and ankle strength, balance and control and the principles of this movement can be applicable to many single leg movements used in daily life. You should aim to maintain the equilibrium between the hips, i.e not twisting or dropping the hip to one side, completing the movement without losing your balance and completing the squatting movement with slow control and good knee alignment.

Lily Helleren represented Australia in the World Archery Trans Tasman Challenge in Christchurch, New Zealand 25-30th September 2025 against New Zealand. Lily competed in all three events of individual 720 ranking round, individual matchplay and team matchplay. Lily won a gold in her individual ranking round and bronze in the individual matchplay. She thoroughly enjoyed her time during the competition, having fun with her competitors and making lifelong friendships from Australia and New Zealand. She is determined to shoot well at the next nationals and aims to qualify for the next World Archery Youth championships in 2 years’ time.

Congratulations to Sophie Helleren who represented Australia at the World Archery Youth Championships in Winnipeg, Canada 14-24 August 2025. She competed in the U18 Female Compound division in all three events - individual 720 ranking round, individual matchplay and team matchplay. Sophie shot really well in very windy and wet conditions. She came 2nd out of the 3 Aussies in her division in the ranking round and achieved a World Archery ranking. She really enjoyed her time shooting with and against her teammates, the team matchplay, supporting her teammates, and getting to know the competitors from other countries. This experience has encouraged her to work hard to qualify for future World Youth championships and other World Archery events.

Welcome to our new Physiotherapist Bailey🎉

Bailey completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, majoring in Infection and Immunity in 2022, followed by a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in 2023 - both at Deakin University, as well as most recently, completing a Master of Physiotherapy at Swinburne in July this year. He joins the clinic after gaining valuable experience through completing placements in both hospital and private practice settings, including recent placement experience here at hoppers physio.

He has a strong interest in treating sports-related injuries, as well as back and neck complaints. He is passionate about helping patients return to their sport or work both as quickly and as safely as possible. Having endured his own significant knee injuries in recent years and working closely with his own physiotherapist during rehabilitation, he brings a high level of understanding and sense of empathy to his practice – sharing insights drawn from his own recovery journey.

Outside of the clinic, he enjoys all things sport, particularly AFL and athletics. He continues to play local Senior football and stay active with running throughout the summer. When he’s not on the field, he enjoys spending time with his partner, catching up with his mates, dining out, and looking after his family dog, “Ruby.”
