This recording is from a Zoom seminar presented by clinical psychologist Emma Spencer. 🌍 World Mental Health Day — October 10 💙

Today is a reminder that mental health is health. Checking in with yourself, asking for help, and supporting those around you are powerful acts of care.

Here are three small ways to honour the day:

Pause and notice how you’re feeling

Reach out to someone you trust

Do one thing that restores you — a walk, a breath, a moment of quiet

If you or your child would benefit from support, our team is here.

🌸 Recognising Autism in Girls: Why It’s Often Missed and How to Seek Support 🌸
By Natasha Binns, Clinical Psychology Registrar

Autism doesn’t always look the same in every child. While boys are 3–4 times more likely to be diagnosed, we now know that many girls present differently — and as a result, their needs can go unseen for far too long.

Early recognition and support can make all the difference. 💙

🌿 “Sometimes you have to lose yourself a little to truly find yourself.” 🌿

Finding yourself isn’t about reaching a final destination — it’s about reconnecting with your values, your strengths, and the things that make you feel most alive. 💙

It may look like:
✨ Saying no to what drains you
✨ Trying something new
✨ Slowing down to listen inwardly
✨ Seeking support when you need it

Every step you take towards understanding yourself is part of the journey. 🕊️

Our Story

We are a Private Multi-disciplinary Paediatric Clinic situated on Sydney's Upper North Shore. Our Philosophy is that "children are not things to be moulded, but people to be unfolded" and with this in mind our Mission is to provide an uncompromising quality of service to parents, children, adolescents and families so that they may achieve their full capacity in life. Our practice values focus on providing an environment and opportunities in which to nurture our clients, from which positive growth will occur, as we support each individual's development so that they may evolve into the humans they have the potential to become.
