Studio ARTES programs are committed to:

Fostering a sense of belonging by providing an environment of safety, encouragement and respect. Using a person centred approach to provide skill development, and social experiences to suit individual needs. Studio ARTES is dedicated to delivering ’Person Centred Planning’ which is flexible and compatible with each individual's goals, health, interests and changing needs. Encouraging and celebrating the individuality and creativity of every participant

Supporting participants to engage with and experience the arts both recreationally and professionally. Building connections within the broader community to increase for people with disabilities to be involved in wider social, educational and vocational networks. Supporting participants from various cultural, linguistical and religious backgrounds with full consideration to age and gender.

On Wednesday 20th August, Bendigo Community Bank Linfield hosted their annual Community Pitch and this year, Studio ARTES was honoured to be chosen as one of ten charities invited to deliver a three-minute pitch to the Pitch Partners.
The Pitch Partners are local businesses, organisations, and individuals who all pledged and donated funds to support Local community groups.

Our long-time member Oliver House and our wonderful Independent Cooking group helped develop a strong pitch that invited the partners to get a glimpse into what it’s like navigating life from a wheelchair.
Combined with a heartfelt video from our members showing how we would use the funds donated to support their independence. We also showed off our cooking prowess by sending our delicious Vegan, Dairy Free / Gluten Free Caramel Slice!

It was an incredible night and the support from the community was amazing, with $7,500 raised.

A huge thank you to Bendigo Community Bank Linfield for having us and for all those who made donations making it our most successful pitch to date!

Yesterday, some of our members from the Inner West studio went out to visit the Tabby Cat Eating Cake Exhibition at the Chrissie Cotter Gallery!

They explored how the art made them feel and was a great chance for some to see their own artworks on display. The gallery is open from 11-4pm until Sunday.

Studio ARTES presents the Big Show Spectacular!

Mark your calendars and join us on October 17th at the Marrickville Town Hall for a dazzling performance from some of our members across the Inner West and Hornsby Studios!

The members are all working so hard behind the scenes in rehersals to bring this show to life so don't miss out! Whether it is through performing arts, music, dance, or making the props in art, hands are busy preparing for October. Make sure to come along to support these incredible members. Stay tuned as tickets for this event will be on sale shortly!

Capturing the world from a whole new angle 📸✨

In one of our recent photography session, Members explored capturing moments from different perspectives – discovering how a simple shift in viewpoint can transform the entire story of a photo. Nick from our Hornsby Studio is exploring how different angles and focus change the outcome of the picture.

It’s all about experimenting, noticing the details, and letting creativity lead the way.

Studio ARTES offers a few photography sessions across both Hornsby and Inner West and is a great way for members to sharpen their photography skills while being creative! If you are a photography fan and want to join in, message us and we will help you sign up to it.

Tabby Cat Eating Cake is on now until 25 August – and it’s serving up creativity in every bite🍰🐱✨

Alongside our first-ever ceramic works, three talented Hornsby Members have transformed their plate designs into stickers! These stickers (and all exhibition pieces) are available for purchase, so you can take a little piece of Studio ARTES magic home with you.

From vibrant underglaze plates to large-scale foodie-inspired paintings, this show is a delicious celebration of creativity, skill-building, and person-centred art-making.

Do you know about the Swamp Dogs? Come and hear them play!

The Swamp Dogs are a band made of some members from the Hornsby Studio and they write and perform all of their own songs!

The Swamp Dogs are performing again this Saturday 16th August from 12:30-1pm at Bucketty's Brewery in Brookvale.

Catch some live music and have some delicious food and drinks - you will not be left disappointed!

Last Monday, some of our members from the Inner West studio had the amazing opportunity to go to the Art Gallery of NSW for an access tour and workshop 🎨👩‍🎨🖌
It was an adventure full of incredible art where staff from the gallery guided us throughout. It was a very inspiring and fun adventure where the members got to look at some artwork from the Archibald!

The Tabby Cat Eating Cake Art exhibition is on now! It is a playful exhibition of artworks made by members across both Inner West and Hornsby!

The exhibition is on display now at the Chrissie Cotter Galley until the 25th of August.
On the 9th of August, this exhibition will have its opening from 3-5pm. Make sure to come by for this special event and support all the members who have worked so hard to bring this exhibition to life!

We’re bringing a stall full of handmade goodness! Come and Join us and see the amazing works that members from both our Inner West and Hornsby studios have been hard at work weaving. The markets will be on from 10am - 3pm so make sure to stop by and check it out!

Visit us at the Sydney Street Gallery in Marrickville where we’ll be selling one-of-a-kind scarves, bags, artworks, keyrings, sketchbooks, zines and more!

The team has poured so much heart and effort into preparing for the day — it’s going to be a fantastic time to support local makers and find something truly special.
