Fostering a sense of belonging by providing an environment of safety, encouragement and respect. Using a person centred approach to provide skill development, and social experiences to suit individual needs. Studio ARTES is dedicated to delivering ’Person Centred Planning’ which is flexible and compatible with each individual's goals, health, interests and changing needs. Encouraging and celebrating the individuality and creativity of every participant

Supporting participants to engage with and experience the arts both recreationally and professionally. Building connections within the broader community to increase for people with disabilities to be involved in wider social, educational and vocational networks. Supporting participants from various cultural, linguistical and religious backgrounds with full consideration to age and gender.

Youth Week is ONE WEEK away! We can't wait to host our workshops at the Hornsby studio in partnership with Hornsby Council.

These workshops are designed for young people (12-24) of all abilities and will be delivered by Studio ARTES artists and members. The workshops give you the chance to choose between learning how to draw animals and enhance your art skills or participating in a fun performance and dance workshop.

🗓️Thursday 15th of April
🕐Arrival: 9:30am | Workshop Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm
📍Location: Studio ARTES, 33 Jersey Road, Hornsby
🍔Light lunch provided by Hornsby Council and share time
💰Cost: Free but registrations are mandatory
Capacity: Maximum 15 participants per workshop (not including guardians/support workers)

Important Notes: This is not a supported event: all participants must attend with a guardian or support worker who must remain for the duration of the workshop.

The Thursday art group has been busy creating their own Funky Frames!

Each artist selected a favourite artwork from their folder and designed a unique frame to match. Using cardboard, they carefully constructed their frames, before bringing them to life with paper mâché and vibrant paint.

Every frame was completely individual, reflecting each artist’s style and creativity. It was fantastic to see everyone so engaged in the process, and the results were amazing. The project gave existing artworks a fresh new look, highlighting just how creative our artists can be when combining different techniques.

Happy Easter! Here's a look at how we celebrated Easter at the Studio!

On the Friday before Easter, our members enjoyed a Easter Disco at our Hornsby studio! Members got to dress up in flower crowns, bunny ears and other Easter costumes. Everyone enjoyed the night filled with singing along to great music, dancing with friends, chatter and lots of celebration!

Studio ARTES is so excited to be hosting two Youth Week workshops at our Hornsby studio as part of the 2026 Youth Week program in partnership with Hornsby Council.

The workshops, Wild Forms – Drawing Animals with Me and Dream, Dare, Do, Dance, give you the chance to choose between learning how to draw animals and enhance your art skills or participating in a fun performance and dance workshop.

A huge congratulations to Bridget Kelly for having your artwork projected onto the Sydney Opera House as part of the 50th celebration of Apple! The Celebration was on Wednesday night and you can still see it, along with other amazing artworks projected on the Opera house tonight.

We are so happy for you and this achievement! This artwork was made on procreate on the IPad. It is so amazing to see your artwork in such a special way.

Charitha is a member of Studio ARTES Inner West and has recently completed a vibrant artwork titled Rainbow. Using Sharpies, Charitha has created a colourful and expressive landscape, guided by his own sense of flow and imagination 🌈

Both the Hornsby and Inner West studios at Studio ARTES have once again participated in the Incognito Art Show.

The show is a fundraiser to raise funds to support artists living with disability. The concept is that all artworks are anonymous until they are purchased and then the artist is revealed. 1000s of artists across Australia enter.
