Rain, smiles and a whole lot of fun 💦

Last Thursday’s participant pool party at Billabong Parklands, Campbelltown sure was one to remember! The weather didn’t dampen anyone’s enthusiasm, and luckily, the rain held off just in time for a relaxed and welcoming day.

There was plenty of swimming, laughs and genuine connection, with everyone enjoying the chance to unwind, connect and make new friends.

Moments like these are what it’s all about here at Anowah 💙

Today, Anowah are celebrating the incredible people in our community and recognising this year’s theme, .

Because connection matters. It’s about having meaningful friendships, feeling included, and knowing you belong. It’s about being seen, heard and valued for exactly who you are.

Every day, we’re committed to creating spaces where genuine relationships can grow, where people feel supported, connected and part of something bigger.

While today shines a light on the Down Syndrome community, for us, this is something we champion every single day. We believe that together, through small actions and meaningful moments, we can help build a world where no one feels isolated or alone.

John has been actively collecting bottles through his day program and using the Return and Earn program to help pay for his groceries.

⭐ Support Coordinator ⭐

💼 Going above and beyond
Ellie has been supporting a young woman through a NDIS plan review, a process that can feel overwhelming and stressful. Her previous plan did not meet her needs, so Ellie stepped in with care, determination, and focus.

🧠 Advocacy in action
By coordinating closely with allied health providers and gathering strong evidence, Ellie worked tirelessly to ensure her client’s needs were clearly heard and supported.

🎉 Amazing news
Recently, we received fantastic news. The review was successful and the client’s funding has almost doubled, opening the door to the supports she truly needs to live a meaningful life on her own terms.

💙 Why this matters
This is a huge win for the client and a powerful reflection of Ellie’s dedication, persistence, and genuine care.
