Do you bottle up stress and struggle with a busy mind? Do you find meditation difficult? If so, you may benefit from an immersive meditative experience like a sound bath.
Sound baths can trigger a phenomenon called “sound healing.” Sound healing has been a home remedy favoured by many cultures for thousands of years.

A sound bath takes your body and nervous system from a sympathetic state (flight or fight) into a parasympathetic state (rest and digest) that allows you to rest and restore your body and mind to ultimately help connect to your most calm, and clear-minded self.

To begin class, you will be led through Pranayama (breathing exercises) then into a series of yoga poses to help relax and settle the body. Lastly, the sound bath portion of the class involves lying in a reclining position while Cassie plays different notes of Crystal Sound Bowls creating soothing, overlapping vibrations.

These vibrations lead you deeper into a state of contemplation or relaxation, shutting off your body’s fight-or-flight reflex (parasympathetic state).

At the end of a session, Cassie will guide you back to a feeling of awareness before concluding the sound bath and wishing you well on your journey.

Please bring your own blanket and pillow for the sound bath portion of class to help you feel more comfortable.

Please do not wear any perfumes or strong smells, also be sure to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to class starting to respect others in the room. By coming into the event late you not only miss out on the beginning process of class, but this can also be very disruptive to the others in the room. Also, please make sure your cell phones are turned off upon arrival.

No experience is needed to benefit from this event. Lastly, keep an open mind and enjoy the process.

Breathe - Allow - Feel - Accept - Breathe

When we start making changes we deem positive the world starts opening up and giving you exactly what you need when you need it. Sometimes it’s not pretty, sometimes it’s not what we thought it would be, sometimes it’s hard but I promise you- there is something to learn.

“Music can have a powerful salutary effect on our cardio- vascular, immune, and nervous systems, not to mention our emotional and spiritual selves.”

“Sounds permeate our systems, resonating with our essence, so that inner chaos, conflict, and dissonance seem almost immediately to be transformed into harmony.” “I believe unequivocally – and I’ve seen for myself the proof – that the use of sound is among the most powerful modalities ever embraced by twentieth-century practitioners.”

“Through the process of entrainment, sound can transform negative, repressed emotions into a state of psychological equanimity that has direct and immediate effects on our physiology. Sonic entrainment can also restore harmony between our innermost selves – our essence and the universe, thus re-awakening our spiritual consciousness.”

“When properly mobilized, sound can specifically entrain the human organism toward the greater harmony and homeostasis that it requires to remain vibrant and to regenerate after injury or illness. The properties of sound medicine -entrainment, harmony and homeostasis- represent the rational AND spiritual foundation for a new movement in the healing arts and sciences.”

“Sound and music can help you develop your own intuitions which, in turn, can help you with your own healing. The human capacity for intuition and its effects on the body, on relationships, and on one’s environment is not grounded on the occult or esoterica, but rather in hard scientific investigation by some of the great minds of physics and philosophy.”
