Ivd been fairly quiet on this page for the last few months as there has been a lot going on in our lives so I've been quitely doing things behind the scenes and not really putting myself out there too much.

But I've started July with a bang and want to share the doTERRA love as much as i can so while decluttering and preparing to possibly move I've found a heap of goodies to share with you all (before i have to pack them)

How are you spending your night?
This is how im enjoying spending mine.
After a day shopping we were all feeling a bit exhausted tonight. Kanes at work until late and the kids are tucked into bed and I'm enjoying using these beautiful oils.

I'm diffusing a blend of cedarwood, cassia and wild orange. A beautiful comforting blend thats relaxing enough after a busy day to help me wind down but the hint of wild orange keeps me from falling asleep too early so i can get some stuff done.

I'm also using Ice blue in some fractionated coconut oil to help relieve my tired aching knees and back.

People always ask me how we use essential oils for sleep and if there is really a benefit. So i thought i would demonstrate my quality of sleep with and without the use of essential oils so you can compare for yourself.

A friend gave me her old fitbit before christmas and i finally started wearing it this week when i noticed it had a sleep tracker. I decided to track my sleep on Tuesday so i could show you the differences in my own personal quality of sleep. A lot of people are interested in helping kids with sleep but i wasnt game to track their sleep as i didnt want them to be awake all night and then grumpy all day if i didnt use their oils so i just tracked my own. But its worth remembering I wouldn't be able to sleep this well if our kids didnt 😜

On Tuesday evening i didnt use any oils on myself before bed or in the diffuser. Last night i did my normal routine and had essential oils diffusing in the bedroom and applied topically to the soles of my feet.

I woke up yesterday feeling exhausted and its no wonder why when i was soo restless. Last night i slept like i normally do and woke up feeling myself again and so much more refreshed.
My results are also slightly off as I would not have been as restless last night if didn't do it on a bin morning as we are on a busy main road i heard the rubbish trucks begin around 6am which is when the restlessness shows.

This is why i so strongly believe in the benefits of essential oils as I know they have made such a dramatic difference not just to our sleep but to our lives overall. When you have a to-do list as long as your arm and need something to keep powering through then you need peppermint and wild orange diffusing together.
It is still one of my favourite most used combinations especially in the morning when i need a pick me up or days like today when I want something fresh and motivating to get me through the housework .

Frankincense is one of my favourite oils and we use it for absolutely everything. It is known as the king of oils and if your ever in doubt then use frankincense.
We use it in our teething blend, to soothe nappy rash, on minor cuts, to help manage moods (its very calming) as well as so much more.
Frankincense is one of the more expensive oils ($84 wholesale) but its still bring offered free with orders over 200pv so make sure you dont miss out on your free bottle of frank. Just over 24 hours left of this offer so be quick.

I know im a day late but i have spent the last few days mostly offline enjoying this wonderful time of year with my family.
I hope all of you had a wonderful christmas day yesterday spent with people you love and eating to much delicious food.

I love the smell of fresh flowers so yesterday when i was experimenting with different diffuser combinations and I came up with this one it quickly became one of my new favourites. This combination smells just like a fresh bunch of flowers it's made my house smell incredible 💐😍
For anyone who is interested in trying it. I used 2 drops of ylang ylang, 2 drops of grapefruit and 2 drops of wild orange 😊

Its a new day and a new week and im back into it.
For those who dont know why ive been a bit quite for the last week and a half, i had to have emergency surgery and as a result have been recovering and looking after myself but im back in action now and ready to offer a special promotion valid until the end of the month.

Im still learning everyday and finding new uses for my essential oils even though I've been using them daily for so long. The amount of products we no longer purchase is insane and I could go on forever but here is just a few and a few price comparisons to what we use instead
Vicks
Teething gels
Nappy rash creams
Skin creams
Air freshner
Candles, melts
Deep heat
Panadol (well I purchased 1 pack and used 2 in the whole time I've been using essential oils instead of 1 and a half packs a month between Kane and I)
Ajax
Bug spray

So you can see the price comparison
Teething blend costs $2 per 5 ml
Our nappy rash/dry skin blend is just under $2.50 per 5ml.
Congestion blend is 71 per 5ml if made to apply topically like Vicks otherwise a few drops in the diffuser with water
Sore muscles/ joint blend $1.50 per 5ml
Multipurpose spray around $2-3 for a big bottle depending on which oils I use

Essential oils and the blends we make up using them are not only cheaper than the other products we used to purchase but we are no longer covering us and our home in nasty chemicals which is pretty important. We are happier and healthier as a result.

I've had a few people mention to me that cost is an issue or they dont see how they will save money using essential oils and i totally understand that. Kane and I run a pretty tight budget and are we are putting every spare cent into savings as we are saving for our first house. We don't like to waste money or spend more than necessary. While the decision for us to use essential oils was that we were looking for natural alternatives to household products money always comes into it and we now can't believe how much we save every grocery shop.

I have worked out the price per drop so you can see what I mean about how cheap they work out to be. Almost all our essential oils come in a 15ml bottle which contains 250 drops and as you only need a drop or two at a time each bottle will lasts you AGES. There are a couple that only come in 5ml bottles which are still 85 drops. The prices i have calculated are based on the wholesale prices and doesn't take into account the savings if you purchase a kit which makes it even cheaper per drop.

The list of things I haven't purchased since using essential oils is incredible, I never imagined I could substitute essential oils for so many products. I'll post a list of just how many products we no longer purchase as a result in the group later on today

Ladies are you ready to meet your new best friend?

Since having kids I've become a shocking snacker especially after the kids go to bed i often find myself eating junk from the cupboard. I also often find it hard to get up and eat breakfast in the morning. Since I've been using smart and sassy in my water, i have noticed such an amazing difference. I am overall feeling better and less bloated.
I can now eat a proper breakfast everyday it has also helped me cut down on the snacking. I still like to occassionally eat a square or two of chocolate but i no longer eat a few rows/half a block and it no where near as regular occurance as it used to be
