Taysha is a nurse here at Fertility First. She has been working with us for the last two years. One of her favourite parts of working at Fertility First is that the job supports women as one of it's first goals - in their fertility journey but also as a whole. Taysha's ideal spot in the clinic when she's not in the nursing room? The quiet room - she loves taking a moment to breathe and think through the day!

Did you know - lifestyle changes for both women AND men make a difference when trying to conceive.
Dr. Clark highlights the importance of quitting smoking, limiting the consumption of caffeine (less the 200mg for women and 300mg for men) and alcohol, and focusing on a healthier diet (like the Mediterranean diet!). It's time for our next Meet the Staff Mondays! We're happy to introduce a new member of our staff, Amelia. She is Practice Manager and Nursing Unit Manager.
Amelia is a new member of our staff, having only just started with Fertility First in March; however, she's worked within the Genea system for five and a half year. One of her favourite parts of the job includes interacting with the patients. So far, her favourite area of the clinic has been the back garden (pictured here!) and exploring new places around the area!

It's time for our next Meet the Staff Mondays! We're happy to introduce to you Kylie, another of our wonderful Administrative staff.
Kylie has been a member of Fertility First for 18 years! She worked as an embryologist for 16 years, and has been a member of the admin team for two years now. Her favourite part of working at the clinic is helping patients realise their dreams and helping others around the clinic. Kylie loves her spending time in her office nook, or in the wonderful back garden!

Why Fertility First?
The Logo: New Zealand has played a big part in shaping Dr. Clark's life, and she's brought those lessons and values into Fertility First. The koru is a Māori symbol based on an unfurling silver fern frond, representing new life, growth, strength, and peace. Having such close ties to New Zealand, Dr. Clark thought this was the perfect symbol when she began Fertility First, and remains the same tenets of the clinic today.

Our Story
THE FERTILITY FIRST DIFFERENCE IS, WE KEEP TRYING WHEN THE OTHERS DON’T.
100% of our patients are seen by a qualified expert. All our specialists have qualifications in reproductive medicine and fertility (CREI), and in fact the Director of Fertility First, Dr Anne Clark, was the first to receive this in Australia.
Unlike other clinics, all patients will have the same fertility specialist throughout the journey; to support at all times, book their appointments, plan treatment cycles, and organise egg collection and transfer if IVF is necessary
100% of male partners will have a full assessment of their s***m. This includes checking for s***m DNA damage, and for treatment if required. Studies have shown that in 40% of cases, even if the man’s basic semen analysis is normal, there will be increased DNA damage that reduces the chance of pregnancy and increases the risk of miscarriage for the couple. This can be easily treated, if diagnosed.
