This month is Healthe Heart Month, recognising one of the most common health concerns for Australians. Here are some facts:
β€οΈ 1 in 6 Australians suffer from Cardiovascular Disease (CVD)
β€οΈ 1 in 4 deaths are a result of CVD with around 120 people dying each day
β€οΈ Men are 40% more likely than women to die from CVD
β€οΈ Lower socio-economic, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and people living in regional and remote areas have higher rates of CVD death than other Australians
Thankfully, the number of deaths from CVD have decreased over the past 10 years, but there's still more we can do.
