It’s an outreach week!

We travelled to Palm Island on Monday 18th with the Clinical Excellence Queensland team as part of the National Preterm Preeclampsia screening pilot program.

It was an incredible collaboration of community leaders, local doctors and health workers, maternity health service staff.

Thank you to the NQPHN, Check Up Australia, Palm Island Community Council, Bwgcolam healing service, Joyce Palmer hospital, Townsville University Hospital for your ongoing support!

We were so excited to reconnect with Raikeisha and her little girl on Palm Island. It’s such a beautiful thing to see these beautiful grown babies after only getting to know them through our screen.

We saw this gorgeous little baby right from the beginning! Look at her now! What a privilege and honour it is to be a part of their journey!

We were joined by a fabulous midwife called Jodie from Mount Isa and we had Sam (neonatal nurse/midwife extraordinaire) and Rhe our elective medical student!
