So I asked the regulars that attend my classes - "What keeps you coming back every week? What do you get out of a Feldenkrais class and/or individual session?
Here are some of the responses:
• Released the tension pent up over many years.
• Feldenkrais taught me to be kind to my body and move in a way that does not cause any pain.
• Small, gentle movements done in a relaxed way improved my recovery from shoulder and knee surgeries.
• Alleviated pains with neck, muscles and joints and generally improved posture.
• Feldenkrais allows me to be quieter. After a session it helps me to feel less rushed and more grounded.
• I felt taller and stronger as I walk. I love these sessions in that they empower me with a greater awareness of posture and movement which has helped enormously with my knee pain.
• Body maintenance, flexibility of movement and an improvement in mood and energy.
• Feldenkrais allows me to think differently about how I move, feel and explore my body’s movement in a non-judgmental way.
