A cycle check in is always a beautiful embodied practice that helps us arrive in the here and now. If you listen to my podcast Wild Flow you’ll know I start every single episode with a cycle check in, and invite my guest to do the same, because it helps us slow down, be mindfully present, and acknowledge how our place in our cycles provides context for how we show up, and how we may align or clash with each other!⁠

It’s a practice in acceptance of all that we are. In understanding nuance and differences in how we each experience our cycle. And to go beyond the pleasantries and really answer with how you’re feeling today, and what you might need.⁠

A cycle check in can be done whether you have a menstrual cycle or not, as well. We use the cycles to place ourselves and then share what that feels like for us today. So if you have a menstrual cycle right now that’s going to influence you most, but you might also notice:⁠

☀️ the time of day (sun cycle)⁠
🌚 the moon phase (monthly lunar cycle)⁠
🌏 the season (annual earth cycle)⁠
🌹 the phase of life you’re in (life cycle)⁠

💜 Happy International Women’s Day to all the amazing women in this world. I see you, I believe in you. I am you!

One of the things that I love and respect about women, is how far we have come. And there’s absolutely no stopping us now 💜💜💜⭐️⭐️⭐️

I THINK IT WAS JUST WOMEN

It must have been a terrifying sight to behold,
a group of witches gathered by firelight,
chanting, conjuring spirits, creating spells…

No wonder some were afraid.

But I think it was just women.

Being women.

Coming together, as they very much must,
to support one another,
to share their battles and pull each other
through the flames
they faced daily.

Sharing remedies, medicines
and ways to heal.

And believing they were so much more than told,
than allowed.

It is little wonder that the power of this union would appear like magic, to the unknowing eye.

But I think it was just women.

Doing what we do,

every day.

And just like that, another year is nearly completed…
What a year it’s been for Stones of Asha!
My monthly women’s circles have been incredible and they’re so real and raw and fun and we have made such beautiful connections within them. Thank you to everyone who has attended. Your contribution has been so, so needed.

In saying that, 2024 will change a little bit for Stones of Asha. I’ve been presented an amazing job opportunity that I’ve been wanting for a long time. I’m so grateful and excited but it’s at times like these, I have to step back and have a look at what is really important to me. Between my new working hours, and my family and home life, something has gotta give…
As much as I love my 1-on-1 healing sessions, unfortunately I am not in a place to offer them anymore 😞
My circles WILL continue though. I will still offer Women’s Circles, Rite of Passage ceremonies such as Blessingways and First Moon Circles as well. I even hope that these circles will evolve and grow even more when I give them even more love and nourishment that they deserve.
And of course, I will still honour all gift vouchers! My healing room will still be there! So if you have a voucher, please don’t worry, just message me and we can make it work 🥰

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas time with your loved ones, if you’re able to. Thank you again for so much support this year. It’s so overwhelming and I appreciate every one of you!

Witch.

The herbalists, midwives, plant women, well and spring guardians, wisdom carriers.

Drowned, tortured, r***d and executed.

And still, so many shrink away at the word ‘witch’ because they believe the stories, the words made to make you believe the killers, abusers and torturers were good, kind people.

To make you think that killing 16 year old women for making a nettle tea was right, to make you think that those who knew how plants healed should be drowned, that those who were guardians of sacred springs and knowledgable birth workers should be tortured and burnt alive.

The stories of witches are so clever that most people on this land don’t even understand the awful and terrible events that took place when a thirst for killing our native plant speakers took hold.

We took on that they were devil worshippers, baby eaters, children torturers, all so the wipe out of so many women felt like a good cleansing, a necessary evil.

People still now laugh, jeer and hate the witch, smirking at the handed down, hook nosed, green skinned image of her.

It’s sad, they’re laughing and fearing, mainly through ignorance, those who held great knowledge, they are supporting the cruelty that took place, and, as they turn their back on what happened, they look towards other native cultures for understanding on earth connection, plant medicine and spiritual practise, not seeing that all of that knowledge lies under their feet, and was violently wiped out, or almost wiped out.

It is time, to uncover the truth and bring back the voices of our native plant speakers, for this too, brings back the voice of the earth.

Every time I facilitate a Circle, it takes me days to create, write, plan, snd pull together everything I need. It takes a lot of heart and soul… time. But I LOVE IT!!!

Last night was especially fun because as a Millennial, I think we all watched The Craft and practiced “light as a feather, stiff as a board” with our friends right? My inner teenager has been screaming for this night.

A group of beautiful women with open minds and open hearts came along and we casted circles and spells and made besoms and drank tea and ate food and danced! 💃

I had a wonderful night surrounded by love and I hope you all did too… I know that I feel extra floaty and magickal today 💜💜 until next time my Coven sisters ✨
