Flashback to Mother’s Day 2014. The baby inside my belly in the photo is now 11.5 years old 🧡 The one ON my belly is almost 14. ..and the one running around the room not in the photo is 16.5.

Sport of Balance Workshop 
How good is your balance, really? Join us for a 90-minute introduction to the ‘Sport of Balance’ to find out!
You will learn:
* How your foot function affects your balance (and vice versa)
* The power of balance for integrating strength, mobility and coordination
* An accessible, scalable and enjoyable balance training system
* Simple challenges and fun games that bring an element of friendly competition
* How to seamlessly integrate these into your daily practice
Presented by Jim Dooner (physiotherapist and Head of Training at The Foot Collective) this workshop is the first of its kind and is part of a bigger mission to make foot and balance training the standard in our society, across all ages and ability levels.

Hunching over Ipads, mobile phones, computers and sitting at desks from such a young age could be our next generation’s most serious health danger. Postural changes that occur due to slumping, slouching and a forward “tech neck” position when the spine is still developing are enhanced and unfortunately could be set in place for life. Muscular compensation patterns may develop, setting up a recipe for pain and injuries later in life. Our tweens and teens are in need of a mobility practice just as much as they need cardiovascular and strength training, recovery and rest.

Mobility is the combination of flexibility, stability and motor control. Stick Mobility® - a revolutionary system developed in America - it is intended to help users increase their mobility, muscle activation, movement and range of motion. The stick is used in conjunction with exercises or movements that utilize the flexibility and strength of the stick to propel the body into peak fitness and performance.

“Fantastic training!

I completed the RMM training in July 2024 with Virginia and learnt so much over a few days. Virginia is an excellent facilitator, her enthusiasm is contagious and she is always happy to share her wealth of knowledge freely with participants. The course was very practical with lots of opportunities for experiential learning i.e. rolling (yay!) so every day you finish feeling kind of blissed out while also having learnt a lot about anatomy and RMM techniques and strategies. The tools from the course have helped me to reduce pain, move better, and regulate my nervous system. As an Allied Health professional and yoga teacher, the training was invaluable and I left feeling empowered and excited to share my new skills and knowledge. Highly recommend it for anyone with a body!”

Join us for our next 4 day/3 night retreat where learning, luxury and deep restoration come together.

This year at the Connect Retreat, we will feature brain health and longevity. We will be joined by experts across the fields of clinical psychology, nutritional science and the gut-brain connection, chiropractic and its role in nervous system care, and strength and conditioning and its impact on cognitive function. All of this intertwined with yoga and intelligent movement as well as activities like cooking and art to spark our creativity.

Our retreats are intentionally curated around education, community, relaxation, nourishing and delicious food, and most importantly, fun!
