First of all thank you to all who reached out to me about my injury, it’s getting much better and no longer walking crooked haha.
I wanted to share how I managed my pain and got moving in less than a week! Obviously it’s not one size fits all but this is what worked for me.
1. Heat pack
I had the reusable heat pack during the day and the air activated ones during the night. It helped with stiffness when getting up or sitting down to have a rest.
2. Pain killers
I took some pain killers to obviously reduce pain and allow movement with less compensation.
3. Tiger balm, fisiocream, magnesium spray
I used all 3 throughout the day. Heat and cold can interfere with pain signals, that’s why it can give us temporary pain relief.
4. Massage ball
Use the massage ball not directly on the injured area but the surrounding muscles. For lower back pain, you can get into the glutes, TFL, and erector spinae from the thoracic region.
5. Physical/manual therapy
It is so important to get your injury checked, assessed and treated. Passive movements to soft tissue manipulation can speed up your recovery!
