👨‍🍳✨ Cooking Up New Skills! ✨👨‍🍳

Kane and his support worker have been enjoying cooking lessons in the Life Ur Way activity room this week!

Kane chose to create a delicious tomato chilli pasta and even prepared extra meals to take home. 🍝🌶️

He’s been smashing his goal of learning more household-based skills, building confidence and independence in the kitchen. We’re so proud of the effort he’s putting in, keep up the great work, Kane! 👏💙

🎉🏮 Chinese New Year Celebrations Have Begun! 🏮🎉

The celebrations for Chinese New Year have officially started across our groups, and what a fantastic start it has been!

Our Activity Group has been busy getting creative, making beautiful lantern decorations to brighten up our space. 🏮✨

Meanwhile, our Life Skills Group has been working hard in the kitchen, learning how to make delicious spring rolls, fried rice, and red velvet cupcakes. 👩‍🍳🥢🧁

We are so proud of everyone’s effort and enthusiasm and can’t wait to see what exciting activities and creations the groups get up to next week. Stay tuned for more celebrations!

Kicking off our very first Life Skills group for 2026 strong 💪✨ Taco bowls, banana muffins, and lots of great energy to start us off right!

Kevin and his support worker enjoyed a day out exploring the Kuranda Scenic Skyrail. 🚡🌿

The day included taking in the rainforest views, visiting the local town, and participating in a range of community-based activities. Experiences like these support community access, confidence building, and meaningful social engagement.

A great day supporting independence and inclusion.

Our team has vast experience in the delivery of disability services – if you are a person living with a disability or caring for someone with a disability, we provide a range of services tailored to your individual needs to assist you to live Life Ur Way.

Life Ur Way’s mission is to enable people to connect, participate and be a valued contributing member of their community. We will strive to assist individuals to have choice and control and support a ‘quality of life’ that is desired.

Our Vision is to be part of a world without barriers, where everyone has the opportunity to make choices. Life Ur Way will be a model service of supporting individuals to obtain and maintain life in their community and be responsive to the ever-changing needs of our community and of people with disabilities. Outcomes will be achieved through the investigation of innovative supports utilising a combination of ‘mainstream’, ‘informal’ and ‘formal’ paid services.

Life Ur Way assists people with disabilities to seek opportunities and explore innovative ways to live in their own homes, work in employment, participate in recreational activities and make their own choices.
