How interesting!

The new scientific field of Biocentrism asserts that life and consciousness are both fundamental to the ways of the universe. Further, theorises that it is our consciousness that creates the material universe, instead of being the other way around.

It would seem that science is catching up with some two and a half Millenia of Eastern philosophy!

Since the beginning of time, man has questioned what happens after death. Of course, there are a variety of typical answers to this question, but scientists may have just added an infinite number of other possibilities, just to shake things up. According to Robert Lanza, M.D, death is actually a doo...

Unconditional love is the frequency of healing for the body, for the mind and for the spirit. Thank you to all that attended our healing practices yesterday!

On a visit to a great monastery in Spain, I met a Benedictine monk. I asked him what kind of contemplation he had practiced during his years of solitude.

His answer was simple: “Love, love, love.” How wonderful! ...during all those years he meditated simply on love. And he was not meditating on just the word. When I looked into his eyes, I saw evidence of profound spirituality and love. This encounter helped me develop a genuine reverence for the Christian tradition and its capacity to create people of such goodness. I believe the purpose of all the major religious traditions is not to construct big temples on the outside, but to create temples of goodness and compassion inside, in our hearts.

Patrick Lynch-Robinson and East Meets West Meditation Services

Patrick has been a practicing Buddhist since 1996. During that time he was closely affiliated with both the Vajrapani Institute in Ashfield and the Buddhist Centre in Newtown in Sydney. These affiliations meant that he had the good fortune to study mediation practices with such renown teachers as Prof Jack Kornfield, Sharon Salzberg, Thubten Yeshe and Bodhipaksa.

After considerable study, and despite the demands of an intense career in environmental law, he began teaching Buddhist meditation at the multi denominational Sydney Meditation Centre in Darlinghurst in 2010.

Since retiring to Far North Queenslan in 2015 Patrick developed an interest in the intersection of Western brain sciences and Eastern wisdom traditions such as the Vedic, Hindu, Jainism and of course Buddhism. To satisfy his curiosity he embarked on intensive online study with great exponents of these areas of ‘scientific mindfulness’ such as Prof Dan Siegel, Dr Rus Harris and the ‘father’, of mindfulness practice in the west Prof Jon Kabat-Zin.

Patrick is now a fully certified meditation and mindfulness teacher and is also certified in Positive Mindfulness and phycology through the CPD accredited School of Positive Transformation established by the now world famous Prof Itai Ivtzan and is a full member of the International Mindfulness and Meditation Alliance (IMMA).
