The truth is…. truth is a confronting concept.
As flawed humans, we are so easily swayed into not only being seen and heard as the kind of beings we aspire to be, but also layering up the Maya, the illusion, inside ourselves to support this.
I am definitely not all sunshine and roses.
I am definitely not a woman who “ has it all” who can “do it all”.
And the truth is, I don’t need any of that.
I am definitely a woman who has a better understanding of how far I can lean into a particular area of my being before the edges start to get scratchy. Before I feel the unravelling coming on.
At fifty-seven, with a bunch of decades of perfect moments, heartbreaks and lessons behind me, I am truthful enough with myself now to accept my boundaries as what they are.
Invitations to press Pause.
To not push myself into the scratchy zone simply to be seen as a “better” person. To not need to pretend that this is what I am. Better than my truth.
The truth is, the best person I can be is the one when I respect my boundaries and give other people the permission to do the same.
Truth, when you are really prepared to sit with it, discarding the Maya, can be very powerful.
And a rich resource to offer us support and space to be ourselves.
I am offering a special two hour class this Sunday at Soulspace themed on Truth.
It’s called I AM Satya | Truth.
An integration of gentle movement, sound, mantra, Yoga Nidra and meditation. A lush and restorative session where we drop the Maya, like autumn leaves floating to the earth and really lean into Truth.
The Autumn Equinox is such a perfect time to do this.
Head to my website www.theyogastylist.com.au to find more information and book your place at I AM: Satya | Truth, at 4pm Sunday March 24 at
