Get • .au Some things just can’t be crammed into a single day, and birth prep is one of them.

There are so many reasons my HypnoBirthing class runs over 5 weeks. It gives you time to actually practise the breathing, relaxation and mindset tools so they feel natural when the time comes, not like something you “kind of remember” from a workshop.

You get space between sessions to integrate, ask questions, tweak your birth preferences and really figure out what feels right for you.

It also means your birth partner has time to learn their role, practise scripts and feel confident about how to support you on the day.

If you’re due this year and want to walk into birth feeling calm, informed and supported, my next 5‑week series is now open for bookings. Tap the link in my bio to join my next class starting 24 June 🤎

Last minute availability this coming week. 11.15 tomorrow Monday & 8am Wednesday. Book online or DM.

I unfortunately can't attend our local vigil in Cowes Berninneit tonight, but I feel really strongly about changing this horrible statistic for women.
Every 8 days a woman dies due to domestic violence in Australia.
I have just listened to the podcast Kiss & Kill. It was so good to listen and learn more about this shocking issue we have in Australia.

Get • Every year the first Wednesday of May represents National Domestic Violence Remembrance Day. 🕯️🧡

The team at Full Stop Australia extend our heartfelt solidarity to the loved ones left behind in the aftermath of domestic and family violence homicide and acknowledge the deep, and unique loss behind every news story or statistic.

There are vigils happening this evening all over the country, which serve as an opportunity to remember the lives we have lost and all those who have been impacted by the loss of a loved one to domestic violence.

”Remembrance is not just about honouring the past; it is about the future. In our loved one’s name we demand justice for those who are silenced, and accountability in a system where giant chasms are costing lives. No other family should have to bear this devastating loss.” said Kylie Druitt, on behalf of Australian Voices for the Silenced.

Trauma-specialist counselling is available for anyone in Australia impacted by sexual, domestic or family violence. Our counselling support is 24/7, free and confidential.

You don’t need another thing to do right now.

You might just need space to stop.

Winter has a way of showing us what’s been quietly building — fatigue, tension, mental noise.

Our Winter Yin & Pins Immersion is designed to meet you there so you can meet the season well.

Slow shapes. Energetic clearing. Deep rest. Guided stillness.

A space where your body can finally exhale.

Sunday May 31st, 2-4pm. Spots are filling fast ~ ticket link in bio 🙏

Lately I’ve just been noticing how much we all carry as mums.

The mental load… the constant giving… the way you can get to the end of the day and realise you haven’t really had a minute to yourself.

And I know I’m not the only one feeling that.

So instead of overthinking it, we just wanted to do something small to give back so mums can prioritise themselves just a little.

We’ve teamed up as mothers in local business to put together a Mother’s Day gift for one mum — the kind of support we all need at different stages.

Whether that’s with your body, feeding, sleep… or just feeling a bit more like yourself again.

If this feels like something you (or someone you love) could use:

• Follow all accounts
au

• Like this post
• Tag a mum who’s been carrying a lot lately
(each tag = another entry)

If you feel like sharing it, you can pop it on your stories & tag us too . And feel free t9 save this post for later.

We’ll choose someone on Saturday 9th May.

Open to local mums — and I really can’t wait to give this to someone who needs it.

Mother's Day is fast approaching next Sunday 10th May.
Does someone need a reminder??
This special occasion is dedicated to honouring and celebrating mothers, and it’s a great opportunity to show appreciation for everything they do.
If you have little kids tag your partner so he gets the hint....
If you have big kids tag them...
There's an exciting offer available this week leading up to Mother's Day.
Any 1-hour vouchers purchased will be automatically upgraded to a 75-minute session. This means more time to enjoy a relaxing experience, whether it's a rejuvenating treatment, a therapeutic acupuncture treatment or any other service that offers relaxation and tranquility. This upgrade provides an excellent opportunity to show mothers just how much they are valued and to give them the gift of time to unwind and enjoy themselves on their special day.

Loved this explanation so had to share Get •

Take the hat off.

The first hour after birth isn’t just cute, it’s biological.

Right after birth, oxytocin floods the body, helping:
💎 uterus contract + reduce bleeding
💎 placenta release
💎 bonding
💎 breastfeeding begin

And what drives that hormone surge?

👉🏾 Skin-to-skin. Touch. Warmth. Smell.

When baby is on mom’s chest, she instinctively touches, kisses, and smells their head.

That scent is part of the oxytocin feedback loop.

Then we interrupt it…with a hat.

Hats were meant to prevent heat loss but skin-to-skin already regulates temperature (even adjusting mom’s chest to warm/cool baby).

So if baby is warm, why are we covering the very place that drives bonding signals?

Covering the head can block:
🔁 smelling baby
🔁 kissing baby
🔁 full sensory connection

In physiologic birth spaces, we do it differently:
⭐️ baby naked on chest
⭐️ no hat during golden hour
⭐️ warm blanket over back
⭐️ leave them alone

Because birth physiology is sensitive.

And sometimes the most powerful thing is…..you guessed it, doing less.

Skin-to-skin. Access to baby. Let them find each other.

Flor Cruz

There’s a quiet shift that happens around this time of year.

Not always obvious… but you can feel it.

A soft pull to slow down.
To stay in a little longer.
To turn inward and take stock of what’s been building beneath the surface.

Winter asks something different of us.

And this Yin & Pins Winter Immersion is a space to meet that.

Over two hours, Fliss and I will guide you through a deeply restorative blend of yin yoga, breathwork, meditation, yoga nidra, acupressure, moxibustion and acupuncture — all designed to support your body as it moves into a season of rest and repair.

Grounded in both Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic wisdom, this is less about “doing” and more about allowing yourself to soften, be held, and restore.

If your body has been asking for a pause… this might be it.

Group baby massage this Friday. See below...

Regularly massaging your baby is a way to give them much more. More bonding time. More sensory stimulation. More health development.

One of the most important experiences for your baby’s development is your loving touch. Research reveals that routine touch and massage by a parent or loving caregiver are critical to a baby’s growth, communication and learning.

In addition to helping you and your baby bond, regular massage may:
*Sooth your baby and reduce his crying.
*Aid digestion and help relieve colic, wind and constipation.
*Enhance your baby’s adjustment to night time sleep. And help him sleep more deeply.
*Help develop good muscle tone, coordination and suppleness.

Struggling with newborn tummy pain and wind? Baby massage may help soothe and reduce this pain if incorporated into the baby’s daily routine for 2 weeks. Would you like to learn more?

Baby massage sessions are done bi-monthly at the Inverloch Hub.

Friday 1st May 10.30-11.30am
Friday 8th & 15th May consolidation & more.
