I'm very excited - to say the least - to be teaching the Cancer Care Class at Amber Tree Studio, Graceville in February and March 2025.

I devoted most of 2024 to studying and expanding my skills to adapt yoga for those living with cancer. Gentle, mindful and consistent yoga practices have so much to offer people who have received a diagnosis of cancer, are undergoing treatment or have completed their treatments.

I am incredibly grateful to The Yoga Partnership for supporting this initiative in bringing an accessible practice of yoga to those on a cancer journey.

We will be offering 5 locations for Cancer Care yoga in term 1 of 2025 through a combination of support from councils and our own fundraising events, meaning these classes are free or low cost for people with a cancer diagnosis.

A diagnosis of cancer can take your breath away but yoga can give it back. The benefits of yoga are endless, especially for those with cancer. It will aid you in your recovery and connect you with others in a safe and supportive environment.

These classes are specifically designed to restore motion and flexibility in a gentle way, encouraging the movement of fascia consistently and freely to help support and promote the overall health of our physical, emotional and mental well-being pre and post surgery. We hope the classes encourage greater internal calm to help deal with stress, anxiety and depression, help to strengthen the immune and lymphatic system, maintain and improve mobility to areas impacted by surgery and the whole body, while encouraging overall health and well-being and better sleep.

This is a great opportunity to come together, to move, to breathe and to talk to others going through something similar.

Please share with anyone you know who could benefit from these classes.
