Ask "R U OK?" Any Day, because life happens every day.

R U OK? Day is on Thursday September 12, but we encourage everyone to Ask "R U OK?" ANY DAY of the year, because a conversation could change a life.

Our Su***de prevention course teaches participants how to provide initial support to someone who may be experiencing suicidal thoughts and behaviours, until professional help is received or until the crisis has resolved. Course participants learn how to recognise and respond to suicidal thoughts and behaviours, provide support and encourage pathways to professional help. Learn how to intervene early, offer initial support, respond in a crisis and reduce stigma and know the barriers to help seeking and how to overcome these. The course participants will learn how to apply self-care practices as a Mental Health First Aider.

By having regular, meaningful conversations, you build trust and normalise talking about what’s really going on, so when the people in your world find themselves struggling, they know you’re someone they can talk to.

Contact CiMaS Home Nursing to learn more about R U OK Day and our Mental Health First Aid training.
