Seeing Kathleen's smile as she enjoys her cozy new shawl reminds us how acts of kindness, big and small, bring such comfort and joy. Our guests and families are so grateful for this thoughtful gift!

Thank you to Vicki and Damian from UBeaut Pest Control for their generous prize donation to our upcoming charity golf day! Their wonderful contribution of a $180 pest control service voucher will be a fantastic prize for one of our lucky golfers.

It's especially meaningful when our community supporters have such personal connections to our hospice family. Their daughter Kayley (pictured here with our CEO Gail) is currently completing her Assistant in Nursing student placement with us from St Mary’s College, Ipswich, and we couldn't be prouder of her dedication and professionalism. Our staff have noted that "Kayley is very efficient in her work, shows a lot of initiative and works well with the team" and "shows a great deal of maturity in dealing with this kind of work environment."

Our CEO Gail had a wonderful afternoon attending the 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 & 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽🎨✨ afternoon tea on 4th September at Bremer Waters Retirement Village.

"It was a lovely event to meet the ladies in the group and to be able to talk about what Ipswich Hospice does," said Gail. "Some members of the group have had an association with us and spoke warmly of the care that their loved ones received and how beautiful the facility, staff and gardens are." 💜

"The afternoon tea was absolutely abundant - I should have planned not to eat lunch beforehand!" laughed Gail. "The ladies are very talented and have many skills. The underneath of the kitchen bench is beautifully painted by two ladies in the group – it is stunning."
