Our CEO/DON Gail Rogers recently had the opportunity to meet Senator for Queensland, Pauline Hanson.

In the past, Pauline was proud to support Rockhampton with funding for their Hospice. She is happy to support the Government and Ipswich Hospice in their plans for expansion of beds for palliative and end-of-life care, an enlarged Grief and Bereavement Centre and the Centre of Excellence, which will undertake research to benefit all Australians.

Head down and buy some raffle tickets to support us and pick up some beautiful plants.

The Ipswich Gala Doll Fair has supported Ipswich Hospice for many years.

We celebrated our Volunteers on Friday last week.

Our volunteers keep our gardens looking amazing, undertake maintenance, help in the kitchens, create amazing craft items and cards for sale, help out with our drinks trolley, assist at events, undertake counselling, are Directors on our Board and assist with administration tasks.

We took this opportunity to acknowledge those volunteers who have met the milestones of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and even 30 years of service to our organisation.

Despite calculators being available to put a value on their efforts, to us they are priceless and we are so grateful for all that they do.

Bunnings West Ipswich generously provided our volunteer Gardeners with 2 x 30m retractable hose reels.

These hose reels will improve safety in the garden and make the watering and rolling up the hose less strenuous for our volunteers.

The Ipswich Men's Shed Inc. have once again worked their magic and produced some great "Wooden Spoon" Trophies for the Ipswich Hospice Trivia Night.

The trophies were exactly what we were looking for. Thank you once again for your support and great craftsmanship.

CSI - Club Services Ipswich support Ipswich Hospice through the proceeds from the Friday night meat tray raffles.

Thank you, CSI - we are grateful for the support you give us which allows us to continue providing end-of-life care, palliative respite and timely grief and bereavement counselling to our community.

Our CEO/DON Gail Rogers and Capital Campaign Consultant Greg Jensen, were honoured to visit Parliament House yesterday and meet with Shayne Neumann MP and Milton Dick MP.

We received unanimous support for our plans for a 30-bed Hospice in Ipswich and will continue to work towards securing funding to undertake this work.
