Workshop: Liberating Leadership: A New Lens on Lead Management

Inspired by William Glasser, Rob reimagines Lead Management as Liberating Leadership—a practical, non-coercive approach that helps leaders move away from control and towards connection.

Drawing on ideas from W. Edwards Deming, Gary Hamel, Edward Deci, Richard Ryan, Margaret Wheatley, Joseph LeDoux, and Daniel Kahneman, this workshop explores how leaders can:

✨ Remove constraints that hold staff back
✨ Foster autonomy, passion, and creativity
✨ Build a culture of trust and engagement

Discover practical strategies grounded in Choice Theory to create workplaces where people thrive.

“All total behaviour is chosen, but we only have direct control over the acting and thinking components. We can only influence our feelings and physiology through the choices we make in how we act and think.”
– William Glasser -

💡 This idea sits at the heart of Choice Theory® — reminding us that while we may not be able to instantly change how we feel, we can choose our actions and thoughts.

When we shift what we do and how we think, we begin to influence our emotions and even our physical responses. It’s a powerful pathway to greater self-awareness, personal responsibility, and meaningful change.

✨ Instead of asking “Why do I feel this way?”, we might ask:
👉 “What am I doing?”
👉 “What am I thinking?”
👉 “What could I choose differently?”
Small changes in action and thinking can lead to big shifts in how we experience our lives.

“All behaviour is total behaviour — a powerful reminder that what we do, think, feel, and how our body responds are all connected.

Acting. Thinking. Feeling. Physiology.
