15 years ago I started this because I wanted training that didn't make people fall asleep. I'm still on a mission.

I became a Trainer because I sat through one too many courses where the instructor read from a PowerPoint for six hours and called it "life-saving training." No stories. No practice. No relevance to anything I'd actually encounter in real life.

So I built F.A.S.T. Training Australia on one simple promise: no boring stories, Guaranteed.

Today we've trained 50,000+ students, work with 400+ organisations across South East Queensland, and just took out the 2025 Ipswich Chamber of Commerce Award for Best Business Support Services.

Not bad for a woman on a mission to make training fun and relevant.

Are you a qualified First Aid Trainer looking for flexible contract work in the Ipswich or west Brisbane area?

We’re a locally owned training company and we’re looking for two Trainers to join us. Not a big franchise. Not a call centre booking system. Just a real team that genuinely enjoys what we do.

The work is casual and flexible, usually 2 to 14 courses a month depending on your availability.

We pay $80 to $100 an hour, reimburse mileage, and we actually invest in the people who work with us.

We deliver first aid and CPR, but we also run mental health and youth wellbeing workshops, so if you’ve got skills beyond first aid, there’s room to use them here.

What we need from you is a TAE, an ABN, your own car, and daytime availability. Everything else we can work with.

Mental health in the workplace is everyone's responsibility — especially team leaders and managers.

Research consistently shows that people experiencing mental health challenges are more likely to seek help from a trusted colleague or direct supervisor than from HR or an EAP hotline. Yet most managers receive zero training in how to have those conversations.

We train frontline staff to respond to physical emergencies. We should be training them to respond to mental health ones too.

Mental Health First Aid is not about becoming a counsellor. It's about knowing what to say in the moment — and what to do next. That's a leadership skill, not a HR function.

Does your organisation treat it that way? We would love to chat about options to suit your workplace.

Nothing clears a calendar faster than 'your first aid certificates expire next month.'

The lifecycle of every workplace first aid renewal:
Month 1: "We should probably sort this soon."
Month 2: "I'll look into it this week."
Month 3: "Has anyone looked into this yet?"
Month 4: Quiet panic. Three browser tabs opened and closed.
Month 5: The email from HR with the subject line nobody wants to see.

First of all… Mandy is just an incredible human.

She didn’t hesitate to jump down on the floor beside her namesake and play the role of the manikin. Fully in to it and loving every minute!

She’s an exceptional Teacher, and every young person who’s had Mandy in their corner is truly lucky. Her heart is pure gold. She goes above and beyond for her students and her community, always willing to lend a hand and lift others up.
