Introducing Dr Usman Khan (Husband of our Dr Rida). Dr Usman Joins us with a wealth of knowledge and experience in general practice and skin cancer treatment. He replaces our Esteemed Dr Philip Goldston.

Attention East Clinic Community .

We are currently looking to RECRUIT a VIBRANT and EFFECTIVE MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST to expand our dynamic team. The right candidate should have availability to work a minimum 2 shifts per week, with the potential to increase hours during staff leave periods. Proficient computer skills are a must, however onsite training of Medical Director and Pracsoft programs will be provided. After 10 amazing years as part of our GP clinic family, we say a fond farewell to the lovely Carolyn. Carolyn has been the warm smile to greet you at the desk, the kind voice on the phone, and the caring heart behind the scenes that has made our patients feel welcome and supported.

Her warmth, kindness, and dedication have touched so many lives — both patients and staff alike. Carolyn, your presence has been a shining light in our clinic, and while we are so sad to see you go, we are incredibly grateful for the decade of care and compassion you’ve given.

It is with great pleasure that we announce that Dr Usman Khan (husband of our Dr Rida), will soon be joining the East Clinic family. Dr Usman joins us with a wealth of experience in general practice and skin cancer treatment. With our esteemed Dr Philip Goldston retiring in August, Dr Usman will be available to take on new patients.

Dr Usman will commence his time at East Clinic on the 14th July and will be working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9am-4:00pm. To reserve your appointment please call our friendly staff on 073281 0888.

We are deeply saddened to inform our patients of the loss of our past General Practitioner, Dr Barry Hoffensetz.

Dr Barry as many of you would remember was a man of kindness, compassion, integrity and a willingness to provide outstanding care to all of those fortunate enough to be his patient.

His warmth generosity and good humour will be remembered for a very long time.

Our condolences are extended to his wife Jan, His children, grandchildren and their extended family.

Just an update for our valued patients of East.

As you are all aware, we are a very busy Clinic and at various times of the year appointments for the doctor of your preference are intermittent and may not suit your desired timeframes. We always welcome patients to book well ahead to avoid disappointment. We understand this is often difficult when a patient is suffering an acute condition, an unplanned situation or an unexpected diagnosis.

However, on occasions when prescriptions need reissuing, a yearly referral is required or a return visit is recommended by your doctor, we ask that you book immediately. This not only satisfies the needs of our patients but also ensures continued care and attention by practitioners.

We also encourage the use of the HotDoc app where patients can log on and book the appointment of their choice. This app can be accessed 24 hours per day, 7 Days per week. Should you need help with this app we are only too happy to assist when you’re next visiting the Clinic.

East Clinic currently has 8 General Practitioners working at the practice. Our Doctors are long term Ipswich GP’s who truly believe that to achieve the best health outcomes, continuity of care is the most important service that our practice can offer its patients.

When you become a patient of East Clinic the GP you select to care for your family is your primary health care GP. We do our best for you to have continued care with that GP. If your GP is not available your records will be easily accessed by another GP at this practice to ensure that you get the best care.

We offer several personalised clinics conducted by our Nurses for chronic care, please ask your GP to see if you qualify.

Always know that if you are welcome to contact the clinic at any time if you have any questions about the practice.
