Core Objectives & Responsibilities at Mission Disability Care Service pty Ltd.
* Promote Independence: Help clients develop life skills (cooking, cleaning, transport) to become more self-sufficient, rather than just doing tasks for them.
* Support Goals & Aspirations: Work with clients to set and achieve personal goals, whether for employment, social participation, or personal growth, in line with their NDIS plan.
* Enhance Community Inclusion: Facilitate participation in social activities, community events, and access to local resources to combat isolation.
* Provide Personal & Emotional Support: Assist with daily living (personal care, hygiene, meals) and offer empathy, companionship, and emotional support to build confidence and resilience.
* Champion Rights & Dignity: Respect clients' privacy, choices, and freedom, ensuring a safe, respectful, and empowering environment.
* Assisting with personal care, household tasks, and transport.
* Encouraging participation in arts, crafts, games, or outings.
* Acting as a partner in achieving long-term plans, not just an assistant.
* Working ethically and professionally within service policies and the NDIS framework.
