Yesterday we had the privilege of visiting the Children’s Sunshine Ward at Ipswich Hospital, delivering Christmas presents to some of our littlest patients 🎄

These special gifts were made possible through the generosity of the community, with support from CSI - Club Services Ipswich, BIG W Booval, and local couple Donna and Karl. Together, they helped bring joy, comfort, and a little Christmas magic to children and families spending Christmas in hospital.

We hit the road with Santa this week, visiting our rural hospitals in Boonah, Laidley, Gatton and Esk 🎅🎄

With toys, games and a few festive treats in tow, we wanted to say a heartfelt thank you and Merry Christmas to the incredible West Moreton Health team who care for our communities day in, day out. Your dedication, especially at this time of year, does not go unnoticed.

Thank you also for the ongoing support you show the Foundation. We are proud to work alongside you and we look forward to continuing this partnership and making an even greater impact together in 2026.

Our annual Christmas gift wrapping is underway at Riverlink and Redbank Plaza Shopping Centre. We have an incredible team of volunteers ready to greet you with a smile and wrap your gifts, through until 24th December.

By simply getting your gifts wrapped, you're helping to grant a wish for people within West Moreton. Your contribution and community spirit is making a real difference, especially at this time of year - and we thank you! 🎄🧡

Is anyone missing an elf? 👀🧝‍♂️

He’s dropped into Cups of Care Café for a cheeky cuppa and looks very comfortable making himself at home.

If you spot him around the café over the next few days, don’t worry — he’s just keeping an eye on things and spreading a little festive cheer ☕🎄

Friendly reminder that Cups of Care Café will continue normal trading hours throughout the holiday period, closing only on public holidays. So whether you’re on shift, visiting, or popping in for a coffee break, we’ll be here serving your favourites.

Now… should we send this elf back to the North Pole, or let him stay for another cuppa? 😉

For cancer patients like Stuart Prout from Boonah, hearing the news can be a terrifying experience. Thankfully, due to vital equipment being funded by supporters like you, Stuart is now able to receive the care he needs at his local hospital.

With the tele-oncology technology available at Boonah hospital, Stuart no longer has to travel hours by bus into the Ipswich Hospital for his treatment. That exhausting travel is now replaced by a short ride on his scooter to Boonah Hospital 🛵

This is just one example of how your generous donations are making a real difference to people's lives. This Christmas, why not give a gift that will support our health services so more people can receive the treatment they deserve.

Today we had the wonderful Jen and El from BESIX Watpac join Scott and Emily at the Riverlink Gift Wrapping booth. Besix Watpac are valued partners and supporters of the Foundation. It was great to have their smiling faces there today, offering up their gift wrapping skills and being involved with our 2025 Christmas Appeal. Thank you again 🙏🏻

Our annual Christmas Gift Wrapping starts TODAY at two great shopping locations; Riverlink Ipswich and Redbank Plaza 🎅🏻🎁✂

You get the gifts, and we have the wrapping paper, tape, ribbons and bows all covered! 😄 Not only will it be one less thing you have to do at this busy time of year, but your contribution through gift wrapping goes back into the Foundation and supporting healthcare in our region.

Our wonderful gift wrapping volunteers will be at both locations every day up to 24th December from 10am-4pm, with some extended hours leading up to Christmas! As well as wrapping, you will find some great WMHF Christmas merch available for purchase at the stalls - lovely little gifts serving a greater cause.

Our Story

Ipswich Hospital Foundation (IHF) is a not for profit organisation which exists to support West Moreton Health and Hospital Service (WMHHS) and community.

IHF supports community health services and promotes healthy lifestyles through regular exercise and good nutrition. The foundation supports health and medical professionals in the WMHHS through funding, education and patient experience enhancements. IHF offers a popular weekly fitness calendar (Fit4Life Fitness Activities) which are complimented by annual healthy events including a fun run. At a commercial level IHF operates three multi-level car parks and boasts a 90-strong team of volunteers working in the hospital.
