Today we shared a special lunch with our wonderful team of WMHF vollies to celebrate and recognise all their hard work!

We were delighted to hear from West Moreton Health Executive Director, Phil Juffs, who spoke about the importance of the volunteer program across the hospital and the wider community — highlighting the incredible impact volunteers make every day.

Our volunteers give their time and energy so generously to support the health and wellbeing of people across the West Moreton region. Whether assisting people face to face or helping behind the scenes, every hour they give truly makes a difference. Thank you 🙏🏻🌼

We're putting the call-out to anyone who would like to volunteer and be involved with our 2025 Christmas Gift Wrapping! By volunteering you can help make wishes come true for our community. We will have stalls located Redbank Plaza Shopping Centre and Riverlink Shopping Centre.

🎄 Volunteer shifts are available from Saturday 6 December to Wednesday 24 December 2025, including Thursday nights and Sundays.

Today was a very special day with the Ripley Specialised Inpatient Facility receiving a brand-new cuddle bed for the Palliative Care Ward 🌻

Thank you to Jenny Jenner, Kalbar Sunflowers, and all of the incredible supporters who helped fund this special initiative. This cuddle bed, dedicated to Tony Fortune, will bring comfort to local families while enduring the hardest of times.

While remembering Tony, smiles and heartfelt words were shared. We heard from Tony’s wife, Peta — who is also part of our Foundation team and the Cups of Care Cafe Supervisor at Ripley. Peta shared just how important and meaningful cuddle beds are while reflecting on those precious moments with loved ones in Palliative Care.

This moment was especially meaningful for our Foundation team, seeing both Peta’s strength and the incredible impact our community continues to create together. Thank you to Stephen Robertson and all the staff from West Moreton Health for a beautiful morning.

Our Story

Ipswich Hospital Foundation (IHF) is a not for profit organisation which exists to support West Moreton Health and Hospital Service (WMHHS) and community.

IHF supports community health services and promotes healthy lifestyles through regular exercise and good nutrition. The foundation supports health and medical professionals in the WMHHS through funding, education and patient experience enhancements. IHF offers a popular weekly fitness calendar (Fit4Life Fitness Activities) which are complimented by annual healthy events including a fun run. At a commercial level IHF operates three multi-level car parks and boasts a 90-strong team of volunteers working in the hospital.
