Rural Child Health

Rural Child Health Your location and your lifestyle should NOT determine the level of care you can access.
(1)

Every child should have access to timely, evidence-based and supportive health care regardless of their geographical location. By offering an Online Child Health Service, delivered by an experienced Maternal Child Health Nurse, families can access care and support from anywhere. I have worked in rural and metropolitan areas and seeing the gross imbalance between the two regarding accessibility and

availability of quality services is how Rural Child Health was born. I want more rural families to have the expertise and support they need while raising their families. Becoming a parent or caregiver is a life changing experience and the idea of growing and nurturing the world's next generation is exciting but at times overwhelming. This is why having access to the right support and services is crucial for all families. Child Health encompasses the physical, developmental, behavioural and social growth of your child and includes support for the family as a whole. You may at times ask yourself ‘is this normal?' Rural Child Health can help you navigate through the joys and challenges of parenting from birth right through until 18 years old, specialising in 0-5 years.

Feeding a baby is HARD and there is so much conflicting advice and so many variables whether your breast feeding, formula feeding or mixed feeding… it can be tricky.

Incorrect teat size is such a common cause for challenges when using bottles and the first question I ask around bottle feeding support or troubleshooting is … what size teat are you using.

Check out the reel for more information and my thoughts on this.

Ps. No matter your feeding journey, you are doing an amazing job mumma 🥰 don’t forget that

Meal planning doesnt have to be ALL or NOTHING.

I half-ass it all the time… and even when it’s not done perfectly or social media worthy it still helps me reduce my mental load.

Love a roast meal but run out of puff and patience’s by the end of the day… try this instead.

The mental load we carry as rural mums is INSANE and relentless so it’s no wonder we are running on empty by dinner time.

Soemtimes small changes in how we run our hosuehold csn have a big impact… this simple trick helps me be less of a crazy person by dinner time 😜
