In the NDIS space, it’s easy to get caught up in systems.
Funding. Hours. Reports. Compliance.
And while all of that matters…
it’s not why we do what we do.
We are heart led.
That means:
• We see the person before the plan
• We build connection before expectation
• We listen — really listen
• We meet people where they’re at, not where they’re “meant to be”
Because support isn’t just a service.
It’s trust.
It’s safety.
It’s showing up consistently, especially on the hard days.

We work alongside people navigating mental health, neurodivergence, intellectual disability, and cerebral palsy — and no two journeys look the same.
So we don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach.
We slow it down.
We adjust.
We walk beside people, not in front of them.

At the end of the day, being heart led means this:
We care about people — not just outcomes.
And that’s something you can feel 💛

Sometimes the goal is just getting through the day.And that’s enough.More than enough 💛

Small Steps Are Big Wins

Sometimes the goal isn’t the whole outing…
Sometimes it’s just:
✔️ Getting in the car
✔️ Driving to the location
✔️ Sitting for 5 minutes
✔️ Saying hello

And that is MORE than enough.

At My Choice Disability Support, we celebrate the small wins — because they’re actually big ones.

Whether that’s happening at home, out in the community, or within SIL supports in Brisbane, every step matters.

Confidence isn’t built in giant leaps…
It’s built in safe, supported moments over time 💫

If you’d like support that understands this, you’re welcome to take a look whenever it feels right:

Cooking, connection and confidence – all in one day.

Our Sociable Society Cooking Club in Forest Lake has been running for years and has grown into a welcoming and supportive space for adult NDIS participants.

The focus is simple:
✔ Build practical life skills
✔ Grow confidence in the kitchen
✔ Connect with a friendly group of people
✔ Have fun while learning

Participants don’t just watch — they plan, cook and enjoy the meals together, creating a real sense of achievement and community.

We also offer:
🚗 Transport support if needed
🥗 An optional 7 meals for the week participants can take home

The group is already a wonderful mix of people, but we are always happy to welcome new participants.

📍 Every Tuesday – Forest Lake

Support Coordinators and providers are welcome to reach out if you have participants who may enjoy being part of this program.

It’s Not ‘Just Anxiety!

“Just give it a go.”
“You’ll be fine.”
“It’s not that hard.”

But anxiety around new situations is REAL.

It can look like:
• Overthinking before leaving the house
• Feeling physically sick or overwhelmed
• Wanting to cancel at the last minute
• Shutting down in new environments

At My Choice Disability Support, we don’t dismiss it — we understand it.

We support by:
✔️ Talking through what to expect
✔️ Doing gradual exposure (small steps)
✔️ Creating safe, familiar routines
✔️ Being a calm, trusted support person

Whether it’s at home, in the community, or within SIL supports in Brisbane, we meet you where you’re at.

Because support isn’t about pushing — it’s about walking beside you 🤝

If reaching out feels like a big step, that’s okay. You can take your time and just have a look here when you’re ready:

“New Doesn’t Have to Mean Scary”

New places. New people. New experiences.
For many, that’s exciting…
But for neurodivergent individuals, it can feel overwhelming, unpredictable, and exhausting.

At My Choice Disability Support, we get that.

We don’t rush.
We don’t force.
We don’t expect “just get used to it.”

👉 We go at your pace
👉 We prepare together
👉 We support you through every step

We support you in your home, out in the community, and through SIL supports across Brisbane — wherever you feel most comfortable.

Because feeling safe comes first — everything else grows from there 💛
And we’re always here to help.
