An update from Sam ππ
I would like give my thanks to a lot of people after a very different 48 hours for me. On Tuesday morning I woke with severe stomach cramps and ended up being taken to the Jamestown Hospital with 10/10 pain. My wonderful Husband Lyndon jumped into action, along with Carly and Stacey at Bodhi Zen, rescheduling my clients and letting everyone know I would be out of action for a while. Being the forever optimist I thought I would be ok and home again that afternoon! Unfortunately after ultrasounds, ct scans, blood tests, an emergency ambulance to Port Pirie Hospital, an RFDS flight to Adelaide Airport, then another ambulance to the Lyell Mac Hospital, I arrived there just before 4am Wednesday morning, not quite 24 hours, after no sleep, or at least very little, the fun began again! More blood tests, ultrasounds, iv cannula, being told I would just need to be admitted for observation, then being told I would then be going into theatre for possible appendix removal on Wednesday night, I felt like I had been put through the wringer! The end result, my appendix is now gone, everything has been cleaned up, the free fluid that I had inside my stomach, around my liver and bowel and inflamed o***y is now gone, all caused by a severe infection, due to the insertion of a mirena (which is intact and sitting perfectly!) and I am waiting to go home. It will be so good to be in my own bed tonight, although the no driving or heavy lifting for the next week will really test me. As everyone that knows me well, I am fiercely independent, so having people do things for me over the next little while is going to be very hard π I would like to thank the Jamestown Hospital, Port Pirie Hospital and Lyell McEwin Hospital from admission, to nursing staff, Doctors, Interns, Specialists, Registrars, Helpers, to the amazing Paramedics, Ambulance, RFDS, Medstar, Pilot, Volunteers, my beautiful kids and everyone else that lended a hand, I am very lucky! I would also like to thank my beautiful clients for their understanding and support, and I can't wait to see you all again soon. If you are yet to be contacted regarding your appointment next week, it will happen! Love always, Sam π©·πΏ XO
