🧡 Today, November 25th, is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. 🧡
Violence against women and girls is a global human rights violation. For many, the consequences of this violence—both visible and hidden—are what bring them into our medical practice.
At Wambo Medical, our commitment to your health is absolute. We want every member of our community to know:
We See You: We are here to listen without judgment. Many health issues, from chronic pain to mental health struggles, can be connected to experiences of violence.
It Is Not Your Fault: Violence, in any form, is never acceptable.
We Can Help: Our role is to provide compassionate care and safely connect you with specialist support services. You don't have to navigate this alone.
This day also marks the start of the 16 Days of Activism campaign, this year focusing on ending digital violence against all women and girls.
If you or someone you know is affected by violence, please reach out for help:
1800RESPECT (1800 737 732) – National counselling service for sexual assault, domestic and family violence.
Emergency: 000 (If you are in immediate danger).
