A group of scientists once proved that a bumblebee's wingspan is too small for its body size to allow it to fly, yet the bumblebee flies anyway. It doesn't know it's not supposed to be able to. It just does.
This story, though often cited as a scientific myth, holds a powerful truth. The bumblebee flies because it doesn't recognize its supposed limitations. It beats its wings at an incredible speed, generating enough lift to overcome what physics "says" is impossible. It simply focuses on its goal and makes it happen.
This is a wonderful reminder that we often put more limits on ourselves than the world does. If you have a goal, a dream, or a challenge in front of you, don't get caught up in the reasons why it might not work. Just start beating your wings. You might be surprised at how high you can fly.
