At TSAJ, we take culture seriously.
Just not too seriously.

Each month, we celebrate the legendary Chicken Awards. It all started during COVID, when some countries offered a live chicken to encourage vaccination. We figured, why not reward our team too?

No live chickens here.
Just a voucher to the local café, some good-hearted fun, and of course, bragging rights. Staff nominate each other for everything from helpfulness to hilarity, and we draw a winner at the end of the month.

We celebrate the wins. The big, the small, and the slightly ridiculous.

At the end of the year, we go big:
🐓 Golden Chicken Award – for living our values of care, compassion, teamwork and trust
🩺 Golden Stethoscope Award – for doctors
💉 Golden Syringe Award – for nurses
📎 Golden Stapler Award – for admin legends

The perpetual plaques are proudly displayed in the kitchen. And yes, each one features its own trophy — a golden chicken head, a kid’s toy stethoscope or syringe, and a golden stapler.

Winners are chosen by the practice owners, Dr David and Kylie Yates. Bribes are welcome (just kidding... mostly).

It’s fun. It’s meaningful. It reminds us that appreciation doesn't have to be complicated. Just real.

At TSAJ, we work hard and play harder.

We’re proud to once again sponsor the Jerrabomberra Trivia Night, raising funds for the Jerrabomberra Public School and High School P&Cs. The 2025 theme is Day of the Dead, and the school hall will be bursting with sugar skulls, marigolds, costumes and chaos.

It’s one of our favourite local traditions. On Saturday 16 August, you’ll find clever (and not so clever) teams battling it out, and 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗞𝘆𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗬𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝘀 𝗠𝗖. Expect bad jokes and good vibes.
