Last night I’m in the kitchen chopping veggies, when my pre-teen strolls in and goes:
“Mum… why do we even have vegetables? Nobody likes them.”
Cue me holding a carrot stick like it’s a microphone.
“Excuse me? I like them. And so will you, once you stop living off noodles and toast.” 😂
Here’s the thing though. Mum life at this stage is wild. Between school projects, sports, and snack raids, it’s way too easy to just grab whatever’s quick and forget about your own goals.
But I’ve learned this.
When you keep things simple (hello easy meals + realistic portions), you actually can lose weight, feel good, and still survive the “Mum, what’s for dinner?” interrogation every single night.
Because let’s be honest, if I can win the veggie debate with a pre-teen, I can definitely help you find balance with food too. 😉
