About the Workshop:
As we all know, breathing is essential for life, and it occurs without us having to remember to breathe. But the patterns of breath that keep us alive, may not be providing optimal benefit for our health and wellbeing. My teacher referred to this automated breath as great for survival, but not necessarily great for thriving as a human being. So that’s where breathwork & pranayama comes in. Just as we have physical practices for the body (asana/postures) in yoga, there are also practices for the breath.
Breathwork is a general term for techniques that bring awareness to the breath and influence it in some way, and pranayama is a term that refers to certain breathing techniques with specific functions.
In the workshop you will have the opportunity to learn and practise techniques that can bring a range of physical and mental health benefits; including reducing stress, balancing the nervous system and cultivating a calm and steady mind.
If this has sparked your interest and you’d like to join me, please text or call to book in.
If you have any questions or would like to chat to see if the workshop is for you, please get in touch.
Hope to see you,
Jules
