This Christmas Eve, we wish all our community a safe and happy festive season.

Tomorrow, more than 500 guests will enjoy the Joondalup Christmas Lunch, which JHC is proudly supporting for the eleventh year. It means that those guests, who would otherwise be isolated, alone or unable to afford a Christmas meal, will enjoy a lovely Christmas lunch in Central Park, Joondalup.

The event is made possible through donations, such as our $5,000 contribution, and the support of more than 120 generous volunteers, including organisers Suzanne White and Anouck Vandyck, who presented our CEO, Renaud Mazy, with a trophy of appreciation.

JHC extends a massive ‘thank you’ to all our wonderful employees who will continue delivering around-the-clock care to our patients this Christmas. 🎅

Our emergency department, theatres, inpatient wards, birthing suites and neonatal nursery are all available to care for members of our community in need thanks to our committed doctors, nurses, midwives, allied health and support staff.

We are extremely proud to have more than 4,250 employees who deliver high-quality care and we wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and safe and happy festive season.

JHC is spreading Christmas joy across our wards! 🎄✨

Our public rehabilitation ward held a “Bling Your Zim” session, where patients decorated their walking frames with festive tinsel, ornaments and plenty of sparkle.

We love seeing our patients socialise, have fun, and take part in meaningful activities that support their recovery. A big shout-out to our wonderful Occupational Therapy Assistant, Louise, for running such a heart-warming event!

Our wards and workspaces have been transformed with festive cheer, bringing smiles to patients, visitors and staff across the hospital.

🎄 A huge congratulations to our joint winners of this year’s Christmas Decorating Competition — the Public Maternity Ward and Customer Service Team!

We hope these decorations add a little extra joy for our patients spending time in the hospital over the festive season, and for our amazing staff working throughout the holidays. ❤️

JHC is proud to celebrate Jodie Mallia and Amit Chauhan from our Environmental Services team, who have been recognised as runners up in the Ramsay Cares Sustainability Award in the National Ramsay Way Awards 2025.

Jodie and Amit have reshaped the way JHC manages waste. They have helped introduce 30 waste streams and supported the campus to reach a 44 per cent landfill diversion rate, with a goal of 50 per cent by 2026. Their hands on, collaborative approach has strengthened recycling practices across departments and helped make sustainability an everyday part of how we work. This recognition reflects Amit and Jodie’s dedication to caring for people, community and planet.

Proceeds from the delicious treats are going to Worthy Australia – a local not-for-profit that helps furnish homes for women and children escaping FDV.

Across the 16 Days, an information stand has been on display in the Main Public Reception offering emergency contact cards for staff and visitors.

JHC social workers are an integral part of our care team and offer a range of support services, including helping people experiencing FDV.

JHC’s Telethon Children’s Ward is ready for Christmas thanks to students at St Anthony’s Wanneroo. 🎅

The year 6 children decorated the playroom with their handmade crafts and delivered toys for our young patients and their families. 🎁

More than $2,500 was raised for the toys through bake sales, free dress days and other activities at the school.

The students are part of the City of Wanneroo’s School Leadership Program.

JHC’s Dr Lorna Cronin has been awarded The Buchanan Prize by the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine. The prize is awarded to the best candidate in the Fellowship Clinical Examination. Well done!

Christmas cheer came early to JHC today, with a Christmas Market held in our public reception.

Artisans included some of our multi-talented staff and members of the Country Women’s Association who were selling a wonderful selection of beautiful handmade items including candles, artwork, children’s books, festive decorations and more.
