Steve's statement is exactly the open mindset we require to enable us to be where and how we are right here and now... Samantha Elphick and I, executing with intent our sentient, connecting actions which align to:

- That which we are good at

Remember: If you find purpose in your work and enjoy it, then you'll never work a day in your life.

Furthermore, the act of retirement does not exist in the Japanese concept of Ikigai. After all, how many connections do YOU know who have retired, subsequently slowed down and quickly deteriorated in health, mental wellbeing and purpose?

I read this quote/mindset a long time ago, apologies, as for the life of me I cannot remember where or who to quote it from. But its a timely reminder that we're not all perfect and even a Personal Trainer needs a reminder every now and then.

"Do not sit and wait for motivation to arise, most of the time its taking action first that creates the motivation to continue"

Don't do it to yourself...

Don't make false promises, dont fail to set realistic goals, don't over commit just to under-deliver and definitely don't try doing it all by yourself.

Yet another balanced and aligned Ikigai morning for us here Hives 🙌🏽

If there is anything we can encourage today, then it is to follow your dreams and passions regardless of absolutely anyone elses comments, perspective and pessimism!

This amazing gentleman, is one of my younger brothers.

Proud to say and acknowledge that he has found his Ikigai at a young age by discovering:
"That which he loves"
"That which the world needs"
"That which he can get paid for"
& "That which he is good at"

By doing so, staying true to his values and deciding to defy those who were not supportive around him, he will now never "work a day in his life" in doing something he absolutely loves.

Committing to some short term financial difficulty to get through Uni.
Moving half way across the world, then again moving interstate (sacrificing family time)
Staying disciplined in order to drive success.
Being non-negotiable with his values whilst navigating changes in multiple relationships and....
Ultimately becoming the best possible version of himself. He has finally graduated and enroute in his journey to uniting within the Australian Airforce to serve our country!! 🛩

What an achievement! Congratulations, love you brother!

Our first experience of a potentially devastating bush fire since we launched, and what an incredible highlight of the refreshing and supportive community spirit we have here in Jurien bay and the surrounding suburbs! 🙌🏽

A humbling reflection of just how bad it was, but also how much worse it could have been if we did not communicate and be informed as well as we did.

A MASSIVE THANKYOU TO ALL THE HEROS WHO DO NOT WEAR CAPES 🙏🏽

If it wasnt for those heros and our connected community where could we have ended up? But connected online versus our trobal instinct for face to face needs of connection are two totally different things.

A quick pause and realisation at the FreedomHive, that there are still people out there who did not communicate their worries or needs and were not able to be as well informed or have that community connection or support.
It is those forgotten people who, if it did end up worse, then the stresses and losses could have got way too much for a humble sentient being to handle. Australian statistics speak for themselves..

Here at the FreedomHive we value connection and are always here to offer support for those in need every day. We believe that every single soul should have a psychologically safe place to be themselves for an intentional improvement of their mental health, sense of community and belonging.
