There’s a real shift happening in the NDIS 💭⚠️

Funding is now based on what can be clearly shown over time — not just what’s happening day to day 📊

That means:
– what support is needed
– why it’s needed
– what happens without it

must be consistently documented 📝📋

With a new assessment process rolling out mid-year 📈
this is becoming even more important.

If supports are delivered across different providers without a linked system 🔄
👉 information gets missed
👉 the full picture isn’t captured
👉 funding can be reduced ⚠️

Not because the need isn’t there —
but because it hasn’t been evidenced.

At RDSS 🤝
we make sure supports are clearly recorded, consistent, and aligned to real need ✔️

We’re ready 💪
and making sure our participants are too 💙

RDSS turns 9! 🎉💛

What started as a vision has become a service built on strong values, high standards, and doing the right thing.. even when it’s not the easiest path 💪

We’ve pushed for better, challenged the norm, and stayed grounded in what matters - quality support, real community connection, and backing our team 🤝

9 years of being trailblazers in this industry 🚀
And while many have tried to follow or duplicate… we just keep leading 👊

And 2026 marks another milestone 🏗️
We’ve secured a long-term rental for our new office - creating a dedicated space to support our team, strengthen our services, and continue growing alongside our community 🏡

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey - our staff, our clients, and our wider community 🙌

We’re just getting started ✨💛

🫱🏼‍🫲🏽Here at RDSS, we’re proud of teaming up with Bedford Kadina in more ways than one, but today, it was about Bedford taking care of all our confidential document shredding once again, making sure everything is disposed of securely while supporting local employment.

🗑️ CS came in today with Bedford Kadina Site Manager, Pete, to swap out the bins and keep things ticking along. It’s always good to see the process happening in real time and keep that connection strong.

💜 Simple, effective, and doing what it should - keeping us compliant while supporting real employment opportunities in our community.

At Regional Disability Support Services, one of our strongest focuses is connection 💛

Connection to family 👨‍👩‍👧
Connection to friends 🤝
Connection to community 🌏

Because life isn’t just about supports it’s about belonging.

Our support workers play an important role in this. They are there to support, guide, and create opportunities for people to build their own connections 💬✨

Real friendships, real relationships, and meaningful involvement in the community 💛

That’s where confidence grows, independence builds, and people truly thrive 🌱

At RDSS, we’re committed to ensuring the people we support are not just receiving services but are connected, included, and living full lives 💫

Because everyone deserves to belong 💛

This is why we do what we do 💜

Real feedback from a mum who’s seen firsthand the difference the right support can make — not just in day-to-day care, but in confidence, independence, and overall wellbeing.

It’s never just “support”… it’s trust, consistency, and showing up every single day.

Proud of our team and the impact they’re making across the Copper Coast.

✨ Something we’ve learnt in the NDIS space… ✨

The difference between an underfunded plan and the right supports
can come down to just a few words.

🧍‍♂️ “Fairly independent”
vs
👀 “Requires supervision”

Same person. Same reality.
➡️ Very different outcome.

💡 Here’s what we’ve discovered:
It’s not about overstating needs — it’s about getting the wording right.

✔️ Clearly describing functional impact
✔️ Identifying real risks
✔️ Explaining what support is actually required

Because in the NDIS…
📄 the way it’s written determines what gets funded.

🚀 And once you understand that — everything changes.

🤝 RDSS can assist you to get the right assessments, with the right language, to support the outcomes you actually need.

📍 Local, experienced, and here to help.

🚨 NDIS “providers” are popping up everywhere…

We are seeing more and more so-called providers appear overnight. Some last… many don’t.

If you are working in the disability sector or looking for employment, it’s important to know your rights as a support worker. 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

Ask yourself:

✔️ Are you being paid correctly under the SCHADS Award? 💰
✔️ Do you receive a first aid allowance if you hold a current certificate? ⛑️
✔️ Are you being paid properly for split or broken shifts? ⏰
✔️ Are there risk assessments and management plans in place before you start supporting someone? ⚠️
✔️ Have you been given the training and information needed to work safely?
✔️Is your employer paying portable long service leave

Support work is skilled, important work. Workers deserve to be paid fairly, protected properly, and supported to do their job well.

If something doesn’t feel right — ask the question. ❓

The disability sector works best when workers, participants and providers operate with professionalism, safety and accountability. 🤝
