It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Gavin Burner.

Gavin was a passionate advocate and a true inspiration to everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him. His warmth, humour, and commitment to inclusion left a lasting impact not only on SACID and those who had the pleasure of learning from him, but across the entire disability community in South Australia.

We at Regional Disability Support Services are incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with Gavin. His legacy will live on in the work we do and the lives he touched.

Our thoughts are with Gavin’s family, friends, and the entire SACID team during this time.

Rest in peace, Gavin. Thank you for everything.

As part of one of our NAIDOC Week activities, our participants and support workers had the privilege of spending time with GW – a proud Narungga man.

GW generously shared his knowledge of Aboriginal culture and guided us through a dot painting activity, helping everyone learn more about the rich traditions and stories of the Narungga people.

We’re so grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate together during this important week. 🖤💛❤️
