Your breath starts before the movement, initiating it, and the movement finishes just before the end of the breath, thus the breath envelopes the movement. This practice of attentiveness and awareness leads to Meditation in Motion. Yoga is for everyone, a journey of self-discovery. At Yoga Centred the goal is to provide a safe supportive, non-competitive environment where every student has the opportunity to gain a deeper connection to self and to build strength and flexibility in a balanced way.

Yin practice works deeply into the connective tissues and brings balance to the organs in the body. The benefits of Yin Yoga include:
• Stimulates the meridians (energy channels) bringing balance to the organs
• Improves flexibility and joint mobility
• Calms and balances the mind and body
• Reduces stress and anxiety
• Prepares for meditation practice

SOUND -

Peter Hess® Therapy Sound Bowls will be played gently throughout the practice. These Harmonic, and natural acoustic sounds will assist in letting go into stillness. Allowing to observe, nurture, soothe and calm ourselves while holding a posture.

Our FOUR Week Absolute Beginners Yoga Course has been created specifically with you in mind.

Don’t worry if you can’t touch your toes or aren’t flexible, it’s not a prerequisite to do Yoga! Some people will never be able to touch their toes if their skeletal structure doesn’t allow it, so it’s good news to know that Yoga is for everyone! 👏🏼

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
• Identify the basic poses taught in vinyasa yoga classes
• Learn how to get in and out of a variety of yoga postures safely
• Build a yoga practice from the ground up without any prior experience - with confidence
• Practice yoga with the help of props which can help increase range of motion and decrease intensity
• Gain confidence and strength to be able to practice yoga in any yoga setting
• Develop strength and flexibility at your own pace
• Basic yoga breath techniques – Calming the nervous system, quietening the mind
• Build skills to manage stress with mindfulness and guided relaxations

We have everything you need to get started on your yoga journey – with mats and props available at our beautiful venue in Kalamunda.

Q: What do you love about teaching yoga?

A: “As teachers, we put so much thought and care into every detail of our class - the sequence, the music, the lighting, the commentary - everything is designed to hopefully curate an experience that helps you come more to yourself.

Sometimes classes don’t land in the way that you want, but it’s the ultimate reward to see a room full of people moving to something you’ve created; to witness the impact it’s having in real time; to see people embodying themselves fully.

Whether it’s one person, or the whole class - it’s an honour. I know how much yoga has changed my life for the better so to have some part in that for others, is a privilege I don’t take lightly.”
