Welcome to EpiCafe - the best little coffee spot in Kalgoorlie!

We are a not-for-profit and social enterprise. Our cafe is a hub for our training facility for some extraordinary people with disabilities. We run a 12-week program for participants who complete paid work placement in the cafe, learning all the ropes, and are supported to attend a TAFE certificate in Barista skills at Central Regional TAFE.

At the end of the program, our participants have some great new skills, lots of confidence, and are ready for the workforce. 😍👏🫶

It is the last call for applications for our mid-year recruitment intake! Do you know a rockstar person with a disability interested in joining the crew? We are welcoming a new batch of Trainee Baristas in August. ☕🫖 We run a 12-week Job Skills Program, our participants get paid work placement in the Cafe, while they learn how to become a barista and attend a nationally recognised TAFE Barista Skills Program at Central Regional TAFE! Barista Skills Program (Commencing in August 2025) ! ☕

Epicafé are all about creating an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone can thrive. We are a Social Enterprise/ Not-For-Profit, providing employment and training in the hospitality industry to people with disabilities.

We're currently accepting applications for our Inclusive Employment Program, specially designed for people with disabilities. This is your chance to gain practical café experience, get paid to learn, and build valuable skills in a friendly and welcoming team.

🩷Earn a nationally recognised Barista Skills Certificate from Central Regional TAFE Kalgoorlie.
🩵12 Weeks of paid work experience in the cafe while you train with our amazing cafe mentor.
💜Have the opportunity to progress to a Certificate II in Cookery at the completion of the program.
💛Make new friends, gain independence, and be supported every step of the way.
🧡Be involved in a completely inclusive and collaborative team, dedicated to supporting all abilities.

🚀Your New Job Could Be Full of Beans (in the best way)!

Come join the wonderful world of Epicafe! We’re not your average café. We’re a Social Enterprise and Not-For-Profit with a mission to train and empower people with disabilities through our 12-week job readiness program. 💪

Here’s how we roll:
- We recruit absolute legends who haven’t had a shot at work yet 💼
- We give them paid work experience in café 🧁
- We support them through a TAFE-accredited barista course at Central Regional TAFE 🎓
- We help them build confidence, skills, and experience💥

By the end of the program, our grads are ready to take on the world, and we’re ready to throw confetti. 🎉

Our crew are doing morning tea deliveries today!

Thanks to the wonderful team at Boulder Primary School for being big supportes of our Social Enterprise Cafe. They regularly order our catering boxes to spoil their staff for morning tea. We love our amazing customers. 🩷🩷🩷

EpiCafe friend and mentor, Sophie (the Business Advisor) at KBCCI told us we needed more dog content! We don’t have our very own cafe canine, so we borrowed the neighbours dog (there were obviously food bribes involved)!

Say hi to Miss Cindy. She belongs to the lovely folks from Rock of Ages Church, Kalgoorlie located just up from us. Cindy is a rescue baby and loves popping by the cafe for snacks.

Come visit us Monday to Friday 9am to 2pm. We are a social enterprise cafe designed to provide training to people with disabilities. We are 100% inclusive of all humans and all other species too (especially dogs). 😀🐶🦄

Please bring your dog so we can get more puppy content and satisfy Sophie’s requirements! 🩷

Something special about 5:30am starts.

As the Indian Pacific rolls into the Kalgoorlie train station Sunday morning, guests are slowly waking up, to board the buses to come and explore Hannans North Tourist Mine on the “Golden Treasure” tour.
The experience is amazing, as over 50guests listen to an Indigenous Love Story by local Jason Dimer and get a first hand experience as Kalgoorlie’s local TwoUp ring master, Danny Sheehan tells the TwoUp story and they even get to play a game with him. Relishing in all HNTM has to offer Including a gold panning demo and living out every big kids dream climbing the 793c haul truck.
Epicafe serve delicious food and coffee too.
