The Glute Bridge builds the foundation your back needs – and when you're ready, the Single Leg Bridge takes it up a notch.

What to focus on:
- Squeeze your glutes at the TOP; not just lift your hips
- Hips stay level on the single leg version (that's the hard part!)
- Slow lower = more work = better results

🔁 On Monday we talked about WHY your back 'goes out'. Today, here's the exercise that helps stop it happening again.

The Bird-Dog. Slow. Controlled. Game-changing.
This is the foundational core stability exercise physios prescribe more than almost any other for back pain - and most people do it too fast.

How to do it:
1️⃣ Start on all fours - hands under shoulders + knees under hips
2️⃣ Extend opposite arm and leg out slowly
3️⃣ Keep your back flat - no twisting or sagging
4️⃣ Hold 3-5 sec, return, switch sides. Repeat 8-10x
The goal isn't speed. It's teaching your back to stay stable while your limbs move. That's exactly what it needs to handle the load safely.

Here's exactly where to start — even on your worst days.

2 gentle exercises. No equipment. Floor or bed. 5 minutes.
1️⃣ Knee Hugs — releases tension in the lower back and hips. Hold, breathe, and let it go.
2️⃣ Pelvic Tilt — gently wakes up your lower back and core. Slow and controlled.

These aren't just stretches — they're telling your nervous system it's safe to move again. That's the whole point.
