Final Tribute – Jan Webster

It is with great sadness that we honour the passing of Jan Webster, Life Member and long-standing stalwart of the Goldfields Women’s Health Care Centre.

Jan passed away on 1 October in Perth, surrounded by her loving family.

Jan’s dedication, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to women’s health in the Goldfields spanned many decades. She played a pivotal role in shaping the Centre’s vision and advocacy, leaving a legacy that continues to guide our work today. Her passion, quiet strength, and generosity touched countless lives, and her impact will be felt for many years to come.

We extend our deepest condolences to Jan’s family and loved ones.

Her memory will remain an enduring part of the Goldfields Women’s Health Care Centre’s history and heart.

Today we share the news that our CEO, Gloria Moyle, has resigned from her role at the Goldfields Women’s Health Care Centre.

While we are saddened to see her go, we are incredibly grateful for the years of leadership, advocacy and heart she has poured into our organisation and our community.

Gloria has championed women’s health across the Goldfields with courage, compassion and an unwavering commitment to making sure every woman feels seen, supported and heard.

Her legacy lives on in the programs she strengthened, the partnerships she forged, the culture she nurtured — and most importantly, in the countless lives she has touched.

From all of us at GWHCC:

We are absolutely BEYOND GRATEFUL and blown away by the incredible women behind this year’s Goldfields Women’s Open, who raised an amazing $4,500 for the Goldfields Women’s Health Care Centre!

Over three days, 162 ladies from across WA came together for some friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and a whole lot of heart — from the Pink Event to raffles and the ever-popular money wheel!

We couldn't do the work we do without community support and this donation will change lives 💖

Since 2011, the Goldfields Women’s Open has raised more than $42,000 for local charities — proving that when women come together, amazing things happen. 💫

$4,500 Raised for the Goldfields Women's Health Care Centre! 🩷
The Goldfields Ladies Open Committee is thrilled to announce that $4,500 was raised over the three-day tournament in support of the Goldfields Women's Health Care Centre!
It was an honour to welcome Gloria Moyle, CEO of the Centre, who graciously accepted the cheque and shared a heartfelt speech that reminded us all why these efforts matter. Her words truly resonated and made every raffle ticket and spin of the money wheel feel worthwhile.
A huge thank you to the generous members who donated raffle prizes, the wonderful ladies who purchased tickets and to our tireless ticket sellers, Lyn, Brenda, Cathie, and Melanie!
Every dollar raised came directly from raffle sales and the money wheel.

Everyone’s perinatal journey is different. When you’re facing challenges with mental health, you might need support right then and there, space to find resources yourself, or gentle guidance from someone who’s been there before. Join us to shine a light on Perinatal Mental Health Week, and support each other in the community.
