St John Kalgoorlie was recently announced winner of the Community Organisation/Not for Profit Award at the 2025 Goldfields Business Awards, presented by the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Damian Condo (Paramedic), Erin Condo (Paramedic), Abbey Hay (Volunteer Leadership Group/Volunteer Advocacy Team) and Morgan Le Brun (Volunteer Advocacy Team) proudly represented the Kalgoorlie team and accepted the Award on the night.
βThis recognition is a testament to the incredible efforts of every member of our team β career staff, volunteers, first aid training, kit servicing, administration, and our leadership group,β said Gabriella Richards, Acting District Operations Manager for Goldfields.
βIt's a true all-round team achievement, and you should each feel immensely proud of the part youβve played.β
The Award, sponsored by the Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission (GEDC), comes hot on the heels of the Goldfields district being home to Sub Centre of the Year (Laverton) and Volunteer of the Year - Country (Ho Tin Lee, Laverton) as announced at the 2025 St John WA βof the Yearβ Awards, and demonstrates the district's continued strength. In the Goldfields, St John WA delivers its essential services from eight sub centres, dotted across an area extending 800km north to south and 900km east to west, with dedicated teams covering immense distances and often attending extremely remote locations.
βThe Goldfields district is proving, time and again, what can be achieved through passion, teamwork, and dedication to our community,β said Gabriella.
βThank you all for your hard work and commitment β this award belongs to every one of you.β
