What is Traditional Chinese Medicine?
Traditional Chinese Medicine is a 3,000-year-old healing technique of Acupuncture and herbs. In 1997, the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) documented and publicized acupuncture’s safety and efficacy for treat a wide range of conditions. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has recognized acupuncture for the treatment of health conditions (1979)
Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine is now covered by many health insurance policies.
What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body.
Are the needles clean?
The needles today are all Single-use, disposable needles.
Does it hurt?
Insertion – The needles are very thin, so insertion usually causes little discomfort. People often do not feel them at all. Occasionally there may be some discomfort depending on where the needle is inserted and the type of treatment you are having. This is only momentarily discomfort. You may feel a mild aching sensation when a needle reaches the correct depth.
Needle manipulation – Your practitioner may gently move or twirl the needles after placement or apply heat or mild electrical pulses to the needles.
Needle removal – In most cases, the needles remain in place from anywhere between 10 and 40 minutes. There is usually no discomfort when the needles are removed.

Acupuncture has few side effects.

Chinese Herbs can be used independently or prescribed in conjunction with acupuncture and are completely safe when prescribed by a qualified Practitioner who knows the intereaction off herbs and western drugs. Herbs can be a very powerful healing therapy and have been used for many, many years. The herbs used come from highly reputable manufacturing facilities that follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Procedures) regulations and TGA procedures and come from companies that take this one step further, putting all products through the industry’s most rigorous testing standards and inspection processes.
