Reconciliation Week
Today marks the start of National Reconciliation Week, a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to reflect on how each of us can contribute to reconciliation in Australia.*
Held annually from 27 May to 3 June, National Reconciliation Week encourages Australians to deepen their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and histories, while considering the role we all play in building respectful relationships and stronger communities.
This year’s theme, “All In,” is a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every day. It serves as a reminder that reconciliation is everyone’s responsibility and that we all have a role to play in advancing the rights and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Throughout the week, staff are encouraged to reflect on their own commitment to reconciliation both within the workplace and in the broader community. Together, we can help foster communities that value and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and futures.
