The Edible Garden Crew did a fantastic job at the Options Edible Garden deftly picking all the leaves off the massive haul of basil growing in the garden. The Cafe Crew then made a fresh pesto in the afternoon. Yum!

Get your orders in quick folks! Our team are flat out putting our Christmas Hampers together ready for pick up next week. Our Print Room are busy printing labels, the Foodies group are cooking the last few goodies and we are preparing for packaging.

Place your orders ASAP. Pickups are available as of Monday the 15th.

Our Beautiful Foodies Christmas Hampers are now available to order.

We have 2 sizes available to suit everyone.
Large $50
Small $38

Our Large size contains a mix of Sweet and Savory goodies such as Jams, Chutneys, Sauces, Relishes, Cookies, Chocolates and Fudges.

Small will be a sweet mix of sugary goodness.

All items have been handmade onsite with many ingredients sourced from our own Garden. Even the labelling is designed and produced by us!

We have Gluten Free and Vegan options so just ask when ordering.

It’s that time of year - when the OPTIONS Print Room at the Edible Garden gets super busy. It’s lots of fun learning how to write up job sheets, communicating with clients, creating the design to specs and then completing the print and press. We’ve got T-shirts, posters, mugs, jewellery, labels and stickers on our schedule at the moment.

If you’re needing any custom printing done in time for Christmas, get your orders in soon, so you don’t miss out!

There has been some amazing produce coming out of the garden this week. The meals that are lovingly prepared by the Cafe has really highlighted the hard work by the Edible Garden Crew. A big thanks to all Participants and Staff for providing such delicious healthy seasonal meals.

Jack loves his OPTIONS Individual Support. He enjoys planning outings with his Support Worker and deciding what they will be doing. This empowers Jack and it really benefits his general well being and happiness to have that kind of supported access to the community. Here are some great photos from recent activities.

The Print Room Crew at OPTIONS Edible Garden had some fun making computer generated Mandalas. They utilised Photoshop to divide the page evenly into a choice of 5-10 sections, then, whatever was drawn in one section, automatically repeated itself in the other sections.

They learnt how to use various thicknesses and types of paintbrushes, different opacities and techniques for holding or dragging the brush to create a spot or a line.

They made some cool patterns, no two the same, here are some of them.

Inviting all to the Edible Garden’s Father’s Day Market Stall.
We will be selling a variety of goods all designed and hand crafted in house by our amazing team of Participants and Staff. Drop in and show your Dad some love this year.
Stall opens Monday September 1st. Last day Thursday the 4th.
10am – 2pm.
Pop in and have a look at our beautiful gardens and all the projects we have been busy with this year. We would love to see you!

The OPTIONS Project Crew at the Edible Garden have been busy using recycled materials to redesign their vegetable garden framing to keep out rats and possums. Well done to Peter C, Jack C and Adam S who did a great job on this project which seems to be working well.

The Edible Garden Catering Crew provided their services for Tarragal Glenn Retirement Village’s Biggest Morning Tea this year. After a hugely successful event last year we were asked back again to help raise money for the fight against Cancer. This year’s event was bigger than ever and over 135 residents attended. Our crew received glowing feedback for both the quality of food and the friendly courteous service provided by our Participants. A massive thanks goes out to the Staff and Participants involved in making this a great success for such an important cause.
