y Story:

My Story and my curiousness about Massage Therapy began in Karratha W.A. My gorgeous and most beautiful friend Tissa took me to Reiki 1 attunement, this was in about 1999. That was when I started to wake up and my journey with the healing arts truly began.

Fast forward to the next chapter when I was living in Corowa in 2011, I studied at La Trobe Uni and I began to learn the Clinical side of Massage. One lecture a student asked about the Hawaiian LomiLomi, and the tutor gave his interpretation, enough to make the Class laugh. I said I am going to learn that one day.

His judgement was my catalyst, and I trained with The Hawaiian Shamanic Bodywork team in Hawaii. What an honour, I still get massive goosebumps, and some magical moments I will never forget.

Now I am in Byford in Perth, waiting for the next Chapter ....

My Story Part 2:

My Mum and her Journey with Cancer.

When Mum told me she had been diagnosed with Cancer, my whole world fell apart. I went home and became her principal care giver.

When you watch someone dying of Cancer, its the hardest thing, makes you very vulnerable. But my Mother never lost her will to live, her tenacity and Courage, her prestige and her Mana.

She never lost hope not till the very end she just kept fighting like the true Wahinetoa that she was.

She was and is the strongest Woman and Human being I know, you want to know what strength is, you watch someone dying of Cancer.

Mum was the Supreme Alpha Female Wahine, the embodiment of strength and pride. She was given 6 months to live, she lived for 4 years.

Her Will to live and her sheer stubbornness, and the Love for her family kept her going. She had this unbreakable Will and fiercely independent. I see her tenacity in my Children.

Mum was one of those staunch Aunties, very strict and always growling, and could she make fried bread and Rewana bread. I knew she was having a good day when she was up baking.

Chemotherapy took its toll, and treatment after treatment, I watched as her immune system began to shut down.

I was very privileged to share this journey with Mum, watching her suffering was my catalyst into the healing arts. It made me study Cancer and the effect on the physical body, but also the emotional body.

She never complained, always grateful to live one more day. The cancer spread from her bowel into her liver into her kidney then into her lungs.

I will be honest I hated Cancer, but my hatred turned to my obsession to study and the effects on the physical body, and to find a cure or my answer why.

I studied the effect of trauma and the vulnerability it leaves in your Aura, and how the Cancer can mutate itself. You can remove the Cancer, but if you don't address the trauma, it will just move or attach itself to another part of the physical body.

I was unable to help my Mum except nurse her till she passed. That is a journey for another time.

I have been honoured to work with Breast Cancer recovery patients and to help them on their journey.

I just wanted to share this part of my journey, know that I have compassion for Cancer sufferers, and I pray my Mums journey will encourage and Bless you all.
