The Heart Herd has returned to the Pilbara to some beautiful grass amongst some humid days ahead.

Faime is letting the herd settle back in and she is giving them lots of love and care. She is grateful to have them home. ❤️

Pilbara Heart Horses will be taking limited bookings for March. April onwards will be busy! With Programs already locked in at a great Pilbara school and other locations.

Please contact Faime to book your Session, Experience, Event or Program to avoid disappointment.

Have you HERD?

An unconditional nonjudgemental relationship with animas could give clients a safe place to process emotions or try new tasks. It is also suggested they could be a helpful distraction from other problems or symptoms or a place to practice social interaction.

A Letter From Your Horse

Dear Human,

I don’t understand the details of your day, but I notice how it sits on you. I read your tension the way humans read words. So when you arrive, I take in the shape of your breathing, the pace of your steps, and the way you carry your weight.

Sometimes you come to me holding more than you realise. Your shoulders lift. Your movements tighten. Your mind races ahead of your body. When that happens, I slow down. I might stand quietly or graze nearby. That isn’t distance. It is my way of giving you space to settle without pressure.

When you let out a breath, even a small one, I often let one out too. When you pause, I feel the whole environment soften. When you steady your hands or drop your shoulders, my body responds. This is not me fixing you. It is simply what herd animals do. We match what is safe and predictable.

You never need to hide how you feel around me. You don’t need to be brave or upbeat or “sorted.” I am not keeping score. I’m only looking for cues that tell me you are present, that you see me, that your attention is here rather than pulled away by something invisible.

When you offer that, even gently, I relax. And in that moment, there is a shared ease. Quiet, ordinary, but real.

So when you walk towards me carrying the heaviness of being human, remember this:

I respond to the moment, not the mistakes. I don’t hold your past against you, and I don’t expect you to arrive perfect. I only need you to arrive.

Yours,
The Horse Who Stands With You

I believe that if people could learn a non verbal inter species form of communication and way of ‘being’ that was based on concepts of respect, sensitivity, awareness and compassion they might change how they treat each other and the natural world.

Looking forward to seeing this wonderful resource!

I’m working on a new set of workbooks 🐴📚✨

They’re learning resources for children who don’t do their best thinking sat at a desk.

They’re built around how horses learn and live.
Moving, noticing, pausing, trying again, thinking while doing.

You don’t need a horse to use them.
You can use them at home, outdoors, in short bursts, or spread across the day 🌿

The series is called Learning Like a Horse.

Each book focuses on a core learning skill rather than a school subject.

Things like attention, energy, time, problem-solving, and belonging 🧠💭

The activities include drawing, observing, mapping, talking, moving, and making sense of real life. The sort of learning that often gets missed because it doesn’t look like “proper work” ✏️👣

They’re aimed broadly at ages 6–14, with the same pages working differently depending on the child.

If you’ve got a child who learns best while moving, fidgeting, chatting, or staring out of the window thinking very hard, these will probably make sense to you 🐎✨

I’ll share a proper look inside the first book soon.
