Last week the wonderful Alyce joined year 10 students to share her experience as a clinician in a rural setting!

It’s important for the future of healthcare that we take time to share this incredibly industry and inspire the future professionals to work rurally! We know rural clinical services are incredibly at need so even if this sparked a little interest in one student to explore healthcare and consider working rurally then it’s time well spent!

Our Year 10 students are soon to make their pathway and subject selections ahead Year 11 next year. On Thursday last week, students had the great opportunity to engage with industry professionals at our speed careering conversations workshop. We had 22 tables housing industry professionals from various industry areas within Karratha. Industry professionals were able to share their career journey, speak about their company and what they do, and share information about their typical day as well as ask questions.

We would like to thank the industry professionals for taking valuable time out of their working day to connect with our students.
